How is it going for you? I’m in the same boat, and I’ve yet to find any beginner tutorials that I can follow. I’ve been desperately searching for months, and no one seems to have produced any primers that explain things clearly and comprehensively, from the very beginning. Even the tutorials that profess to be beginner-level are excruciatingly confusing and frustrating. Good luck with your quest to learn Maschine. I’m nearly ready to give up, I’m afraid. I wish that weren’t the case, but I’m getting nowhere here. Good luck!

@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert4 жыл бұрын

@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert4 жыл бұрын
More than welcome and thanks for checking out my channel. Do you mean a specific pitch when in keyboard mode?
@pedritovee4 жыл бұрын
@@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert yes exactly. I'm very new to this so i cant explain my problem well. When one first starts testing out the sounds on pad mode, i switch to keyboard to get different pitches from the original sound. But when i go back to pad mode, it is the original sound that plays and not the pitch i last pressed.
@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert4 жыл бұрын
no worries just wanted to make sure I had the issue correct. Once to found the note you like in keyboard mode, go back to pad mode, press the Instrument you want and at the top you will see octave and semitone + and - when you press these you will see on the left hand screen "base note" and voila :-)

Hi KvK I don’t unfortunately as life got in the way lol 😕 Check out Kit Complete as he does some wicked stuff or failing that I teach as a NI certified specialist. Turntable wise, what do you want to do with it? DJ or just listen?

great tutorl. Just bought mine and im using it for live performances not really beat making. using the groups to store the stems of my tracks. having an issue though when I hit a certain pad it plays the stem on top of each other, then it sounds like 5 drums stems at once, instead of it triggering like a one shot. how do I fix that?
@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jeffrey. You must have the groups set up the same so they all trigger at once. Change it so the stems are in their own group and that should fix it

Excellent cohesive tutorial. I look forward to watching the others. Given that I have 128g on my Mac I notice some clicks and pops and wanted to load the sounds on my Glyph drive. It’s a few years old and has an esata as well as fw400 and fw800. Would you know if loading and running the samples from an external drive, or in this case utilizing an esata to thunderbolt adapter on my glyph would work proficiently? Would love to see a tutorial on creating ones own sample banks.

Thanks Robert for the nice comment and question. I would say it would work but my main would would be lag. Any other questions, comments and ideas are always welcome.

Is there a way to see the names of the chords? I play let's say Main scale, major harmonized type 1-3-5 pad no1 that happens to be the root, also. I can see the lights indicating what notes are played, but I can't see the name of the chord anywhere. Also in Chord Set mode, I can't seem to have the option to select to play only diatonic chords to the scale highlighted on the pad. Do I miss anything..? A way of figuring this is to actually go on Harmonized, recored the chords one at a time, then drag the midi into LogicPro and check there the names of the chords....they are accurately formed in Maschine, but it's such a pain to figure their names...unless, again, I miss something...Cheers!

Hi Aharon, The easiest way is to hold duplicate, press the pad you want, go to the group you want (still holding duplicate) and then press the pad you want it to go in. You can always drag and drop using the mouse but this will move it instead of copy. But it's none destructive so you can reload the group and it will go back to normal. Hope this helps.
