Thanks. But how can you actually drag and drop the midi patterns into your DAW? I don't wanna work in a plug-in and i definitely don't want to work with loops. It only seems to generate loops that I can record directly into my DAW. This feels restrictive. Most users just want the ability to drag and drop presets directly into their DAW for further editing, right?

Yes. What you are doing is recording the look through midi and then you can render it out as a WAV after to maybe manipulate it that way. Not sure which DAW you are using but in Cubase you can separate sounds and etc for this very reason. But I totally understand what you are saying. Everyone, myself included, is a bit sore at ni for not having drag and drop functionality from the start, but hopefully they do actually add it. 1 workaround I’ve thought of would be after getting the audio into my daw, use a plugin to transform the audio into midi if I truly needed to have the patterns play outside samples. Then again, the sounds in session perc are so nice, I would probably just use them. 🎹♥️

@@PULSEMusicGroup DAW-gone it, downloaded session perc a little while ago, but still getting the uvi percussion factory tomorrow. It definitely has drag and drop, the ability to import your own samples, (which really doesn’t interest me), and many sounds that session perc doesn’t have. I know, I’m just a greedy little greedster. But I already know I’ll use both, so there. 🤪🎹♥️

Yes, Battery 4 is and will always be a sleeper when it comes to production! I totally agree with you 💯 As far as Rudiments it's more along the line of the Session series and not the Play Series if that makes sense. It has a lot of moving parts to it so it's pretty dope And fun to use. But you do have to upgrade your Kontakt and Komplete Kontrol though. Thanks so much for coming through and checking out the vid! Without question! I always love great percussion pieces. Those are some of the best feels and can be made to add that additional texture to drums that other instruments couldn't. It list is comprehensive and has a lot of different genres in them that have those sounds so I would say yes. As far as a direct preset I can say I seen it directly but it does have a lot to offer. I'm being carefully selective with all the extra's i already got for my Maschine mk3 & A49, so i think i'm sure i will get this one, but in a while or special offer. It remindes me of the collection they did with East Asia , Cuba, etc. except its all in one plugin and then some so thats extremly dope plus I love these feels they have in it and it will be alot easier to play with any drm set you rocking with. Im still rocking the MK3 and S61 but my S49 MK2 is right in the corner ready too. Still love that for my Maschine! Now we just need a Maschine update!!!

Give the engineers time for that, as they 100% for sure are implementing their flagship company policy! how do you put/drag the loop in the DAW?

If you are referring to how to get the instrument to play in your DAW you can either go to the piano roll and draw your instrument out or use your midi keyboard to play the sounds out and record them there. If you have a Kontol S Series keyboard they will eluminate the colors for the sounds. Otherwise, follow the instructions above and you will be fine. That looks amazing, but I will pass on that for now. I have so many NI drums. I usually make a track for kick and snare and another for high hats. I use Maschine Mikro MK3 to trigger those. I can’t really do it all at once, and I want separate tracks anyway. BTW, a big thank you for your tip on using Maschine in Cubase.

To be honest this has all of that and then some. This is the reason why it's so massive and why I think they did it the way they did! So to have this as a main percussionist with all those presets and different genres I would say this has a slight edge over the spotlight series. And it cheaper than all of those combined! Problem with this software is that it does not support drag and drop of midi. Instead, one has to record the audio to a different channel. Plain dumb.

Totally understand how you feel family! I have work arounds via playing it through midi on the Kontrol S61 but as far as drag and drop noty for this one. This does take a lot on the PC for sure. It holds a big spot on CPU usage and I have a pretty decent computer considering I do EVERYTHING even streaming on it and it does great so ink ow you aren't lying about the crashes. I haven't had it crash but it does take a lot of usage so I don't use it as much. Appreciate the input and thank you so much for coming through and checking out the vid and the channel! That's something that I need to pass along to the team and see if that is something they could intergrade in the future with future plugins from NI.
