I feel that. It’s a great one. That’s why I never recommend it grading each year, when people ask. Every few years is the same upgrade cost and you get way more bang for your buck.

Sure! It opens in your daw though, so no worries about that.

If drag and drop is a must/deal breaker for you, maybe check out uvi percussion factory. It has drag and drop into daw, as well as the ability to import your own samples. I just got session perc today, yet I’m getting the uvi tomorrow. I know, I know, but who’s gonna tell me I can’t? 😊🎹♥️

I hope they told you about Mashine software integration soon...I love my Maschine MK3 just trying not to wear down my pads... think I'm just gonna grab an older one which I don't want too because I want the updated keyboard...also I tried the Komplete software without a keyboard to see if I would like it and I can't load up all my vst folders I guess I gotta copy the file destinations exactly from Maschine software...but I really gotta get a keyboard so I can preserve my pad life on my Maschine lots of money invested don't want to wear them out fast!!! But the instrument is dope NI never fails with the instruments!!!!

Update, downloaded session percussionist today, buying uvi percussion factory tomorrow. To quote one of my favorite lines from A League Of Their Own, “Can’t we do both? I checked out uvi percussion factory. Since it’s also not drag and drop, I’m going with session percussion. I like the sound and functionality on the NI version a bit more. The hype of bringing in one’s own samples doesn’t interest/impress me. If I had some samples from something else that I wanted to use, I would simply play them into the piano roll from their source. I have shimmer shake strike 2 also, but I’m going for this anyway. 🎹♥️

UVI Percussion Factory without the randomisation options, can you drop your own samples? Perc Factory can,oh well, it's great non the less,but not the percussion King 👑

@@BeauTylerMakesMusic It's slightly more expensive, but I think the extras make it worth it, Session Percussion has some better things like mic positions, and it does sound great and is cheaper, not knocking it, but Percussion Factory is the way to go of the two, IMO

As usual, the loops are comical, especially on anything close to Caribbean rythms on congas, bongos, etc. I have not checked the price, but it better not be over $99...

NI have another library for more latin oriented stuff. This is more pop percussion. And that's fine. Btw, I did a few things for a really big international company, they didn't mind that I used NI percussion instead of real one.
