As a South African black indigenous, I totally concur emphatically and unequivocally so said with much conviction. A lot of South African white-owned companies prefer our brothers and sisters from Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique etc compared to us, and at the same time, they drive the wedge between us. They say we are lazy, we demand high salaries without bearing any fruit, and our brothers and sisters do the same by labelling us derogatory remarks like we like FREEBIES. South Africa, is what it is today through, cheap labour from our ancestors, land force removal, exploitation. However, I still love my brothers and sisters from various parts of the continent, and from four corners of the world.

So, you are saying that NONE of what the Whites says is TRUE? It is hard to believe that is so. In some parts of Europe, people tend to take a afternoon naps? At least that is what they used to do. I don't live in those Countries but I have heard about it. Since I live in the U.S. I would call them LAZY. Why take an afternoon nap during the work hours? They don't just take naps for 30 mins. It is longer than that. If they brought that cultural habits to the U.S. and do the same thing, people in the U.S. would say they are LAZY. Same with those African Whites who might disagree with how the Black Africans work. Don't you agree????

My husband was a musician. Now deceased, I can’t tell you the white women that were after him. I remember one night he picked me up from work and told me he had a gig and come with him. The white women were after him. That night I was really tired and went to sleep while the music was playing. When I opened my eyes my guy was pointing me out to about 6 white women. I was looking a hot mess but they didn’t move me one way or another. Before I went to sleep I saw free drinks being bought up to him and the bar tender pointing out who sent it up. At the end of the night his head amp was loaded with drinks. He looked at these ladies and let them know he wasn’t interested because he loved that black girl over there waiting on him. I could go on and on how stupid they were looking because a black man wasn’t interested in them. It was pathetic.

Specially "Black" folks that have millions and find it more rewarding to show off their asset's instead of reinvesting in our own! Black people need to stop supporting these rich black folks who climb the ladder, then kick you off (once they hit the top)! As an ex-Executive in the industry; I have plenty of solutions, but never the right "Black" folks around me to implement these obvious solutions! But if anyone of you is serious about turning things around to embetter who you are; I'd love to hear from you and collaborate with (real Black Folks) who are committed to positive change for our "Black" people. Let us "ALL" stop talking about it and start being about it, (like yesterday), because talk is weak and if your going to talk it; you better know how to walk it! this is why. Chinese ancestor is very specific black African race called the SAND people in Africa (scientifically same features). Sand were wiped out by stronger African bantu races, almost extinct now. Indians/Arabs come from Ethiopian seed, also left Africa due to losing violent battles to stronger Bantu. White race come from North Africa/Turkey. Common theme is all got beaten by stronger Bantu race thousands of years ago - this loss has left DNA imprint in humans and created fear/bias/hatred of black race. Olympics medal count is a good indicator of dominance today. Blacks cannot know this as they are undefeated.

I remember a story that was told to me by a family friend where he states that his wife’s family, Canadian Caucasian people, only started liking him because he was Jamaican although he is dark-skinned. I heard plenty of stories where Afro-Caribbeans were accepted in certain social groups because they didn’t identify with being black. As I child I never liked these stories because it proves that these people weren’t genuinely accepted for who they truly were, but for what these individuals identified with which is very damaging to our community. We need to start respecting ourselves before we can expect others to respect us. So many people in this world are so hell-bent on hating and assuming the worst of black Americans. And yet they have no problems stealing our craft, our style and grace. And that is why we as black people need to love ourselves and not be so eager to love everyone else while hating ourselves.

In part I disagree just because a select few of us choose to disrespect their own is not a disclaimer for others to do it, I'm not disrespecting any race, and I do not feel that I need to wait for everyone to get on code to get my respect from others!

Absolutely these other people around the word hop. All enjoy from the colorful innovative music, dance, popular slang. Of black people who set the standards. Everything has today even foreign music and style take a a little or alot from established black American culture especially the young want to be like black Americans. Many don't even know black culture origins and just do what black Americans are known for not even understanding it.

Being half Salvadoran, I can tell you that the whitening is a part of a 500+ year old legacy across Latin America to have more "desired features" in the population and to have kids that are born free. In Latin America, interracial marriages were encouraged (the colonizers were from Spain and Portugal mostly) to "better the race" through a process called Mestizaje. Just the other day, a half-sister referred to black folks as "burnt". And that is actually a common term to refer to black folks - quemado. Oddly it's just seemingly accepted as the norm and if you call them out on it, you're just being sensitive or thinking too much about it. Mind you, my Salvi side is mostly of Spanish and Portuguese lineage but there are in fact Afro-Salvi people all across the country whose existence have been denied.

I heard Salvadorans seem to have particular strong animosity towards Blacks. I read that sometime in colonial past the Spaniards were giving favor to the Blacks and biracial white/black over the Mestizos and Indigenous people.
