So just like the last movie which emphasized the dinobots, who only showed up at the end of the movie for 5 minutes. Transformers 5 emphasized Optimus Prime being evil, who was evil at the end of the movie for 5 minutes.

In Transformers 5: The Last Knight, a giant minotaur robot called Infernocus splits into six smaller Transformers, whom Optimus Prime calls an "ugly mess" before decapitating simultaneously. Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots, calls Infernocus, a giant robot, who is really six smaller robots, an "ugly mess"before he spin around with sword slice head clean off, clean off of bodies. Infernocus, a bullbot, is declared "uglymess" by strong blue truck person, and has necks separated just in time to have been six. Signifying the conclusion of his labyrinthine journey. Choptimus lops the tops off sloppy bots. The president of cybertron is fast at surgery, and he shows to the many-headed enemy of him quickly a difference.

Brilliant haha. Watching this f*cking movie in IMAX 3D is easily the most assault to the senses movie i’ve ever seen. The visuals and music (especially the track, «Sacrifize») was truly terrific, but it was just so much stuff. This is the movie that truly show how mad Bay’s mind is. No other director could come up with this stuff. And the weird thing is, the movie he made before this was «13hrs SSOB», who is Bays most respectable, restrained and focused. And then comes this, a movie so messy I truly believe Bay did all this incomprehensible editing, out of place dialogue and aspect ratio shifts on purpose. He’s so aware of how dumb and ridicilous it is though. Like, he makes John Turturro say his «scrotum» line again, he have a guy get headbutted by a car in slow-mo like TF4 again, he makes fun of different cultures again, and even brings back jive-talkin decepticons. To finally piss of critics one last time with his billion dollar franchise. To truly set his final mark on the franchise with his last effort. I actually think the script for this movie, before Bay took any part in it, would be a cliched good v evil epic fantasy action movie. With all the tropes in a Hollywood blockbuster ( prologue that shows the mcguffin, said mcguffin is the main plot of the movie, chosen ones, said chosen ones has forced romance, clear cut heroes and villains, exposition dump in the middle before the final battle by an old famous english actor, said final battle being a special effects extravaganza where the heroes save the day in the final second). This movie is a perfect example of lazy writing. The exposition scenes especially feels like something you’ve seen a thousand times before. But then Bay manages to inject his absurd comedy bits in every single scene even if it makes sense or not. Which makes those boring scenes absurdly and weirdly funny. Biggest tone/genre mashup i’ve ever seen. Best example would be Anthony Hopkins scenes. I remember when he has that 20m exposition dump of the secret history of transformers in his castle. The script had him probably only speaking about his family, but then Bay takes out his 8K lens and suddenly Hopkins goes like, «My great-great grandmother was barking mad, an absolute bitch! And that's Arnold,my third cousin.He drunk sewage water, committed suicide. He was quite mad.» - Academy award winning actor, real knighted Sir Anthony Hopkins. In any other movie he would be in it for 10m, say his exposition stuff in his castle in a grave manner then leave. But with Bay he probably pushed him to improvise after drinking 10 red bulls and seeing all previous transformers movies before he came on set. Hopkins is over 80 yrs old but Bay treats him exactly the same as the rest of the cast. He is right in the middle of the action as well. You gotta give Bay props for that. he drives in a Lamborghini in London with Cogman while being chased, declining booty calls, shows his middle finger to a cop car and in the end uses his cane that transforms into a gun which he shoots Megatron with at Stonehenge before he gets blasted in slow motion! Transformers The Last Knight is…..SO ABSURDLY GREAT!!!! BAY IS A FRICKIN GENIUS!!!

Hey kid. I just want to quickly explain this, the reason for the aspect ratio changing all the time was because using big heavy IMAX cameras in films was popular at the time. My guess is it might have been forced upon Michael Bay and he just said he'll with it and shot with one of the imax cameras for regular coverage. Him using it all over the place might be him fed up with going with that trend like he was opposed 3d at first. And the movie doesn't look like a monkey shot it, Mr Bays greatest talent is his eye and visual knowledge. I'm myself a filmmaker in Sweden my name is Ola Paulakoski and sometimes known for making low budget films look more expensive then they are. And I'm always impressed by Michael Bay, his camera rotating around a static object to make the background move in opposite direction is a old trick but cool. Something i myself discovered when making my own vhs films in early 1990s. So either way i wouldn't want to say Mr Bay films like a monkey no
