Sheer genius. That we have this kind of creativity/quality freely available if we own Reaktor is...insane.

Excellent, clear presentation, thank you! I didn't realize before how nice Reaktor could be for someone just starting to build a small modular system.

Glad to see someone who found where to hack the default stylesheet for the structures ;) Thumbs up to the pink selection.

Amazing!!. Think about adding presets to modulars =)

This looks brilliant! Thank you for making this. I've just picked up a Beringer model D and am thinking of controlling various inputs with your blocks. How can I do that? Are you using a Midi to CV convertor or is it the soundcard that let's you control hardware from the computer? Thanks again, this looks super cool.

what audio interface is Michael using and why does using optical avoid the application of DC Blockers?
@MichaelHetrickUnfiltered8 жыл бұрын
+Strages I'm using a MOTU Ultralite AVB. Optical cables transmit digital signals, so from an engineering perspective, it would be tough to decide how to implement the DC blocking (i.e. even if you can guarantee that the cable is carrying audio data, what's the sampling rate? Bit depth? How many channels?). The ES-3 and ES-6 modules use this to their advantage. If you're simply using Reaktor as a CV output, you don't even need to go the optical route, as the MOTU's analog 1/4" outputs can output DC signals. However, there are DC filters on the inputs. If you wait a few months, Expert Sleepers is releasing a USB audio interface module that has inputs and outputs, along with optical expansion. If that had been released when this video was filmed, I would have just used that!

+Michael Hetrick cool, I guess what I am asking is once the audio comes back out of Reaktor, it would sound different than just coming out of the module to a PA or monitor, do you notice loss in frequencies?
@ryanmonro98488 жыл бұрын
+Michael Hetrick Thanks! I was hoping Expert Sleepers would do some sort of USB interface like that eventually. Great video! Inspiring stuff.

+Strages Sorry for the slow reply! I don't really notice a negative impact on the sound quality.

Hi, which modules form 'expert sleepers' he's using ? thx in advance

ES-3 and ES-6. I have them connected to a MOTU Ultralite AVB (for optical in/out).

Sad to see people think blocks are completely new . Brings only confusion It's just a clever way of connecting instruments updated at sample rate , ofcourse a lot of work is done to guarantee compatibility .
