Very good video. I'm a new subscriber to your channel and I'm finding a lot of useful information pertaining to vehicle conversion and camper builds here. Thanks for taking the time to make the videos and share in-depth your experience, thoughts and ideas with us.

Can you show us a video or a short of what yours looks like installed in the OBW? Also, why do you prefer this over something like the trigger 4?
@roamingwithjosh Жыл бұрын
I could probably whip something up. I've had two triggers and they both stopped working. I only figured that out when I went to air up my tires and turn on my lights. I won't ever trust a bluetooth controller again.

I have the 8 gang box. What fuse in the fuse box did you use to connect the ACC wire to? I have a 22 Outback Wilderness?

I would have to take a look. Please message me on instagram

Great vid as always. I would just like to add, use a fuse as close the max draw rate as you can. If you use the 20 amp fuse slot on a 10 max draw, you’re kind of defeating the purpose of the fuse.

One of my friends has been running a bluetooth controller in his FW, and it seems like he always has to fiddle with it and reset things, think of I ever have a need for more lights, I'm definitely going with what you got. Hear nothing but good things about the wired auxbeam controllers.

I'm a guy who has tried the bluetooth options and they have let me down every time. Thanks for the comment!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what fuse did you end up using that worked with the tap?

HI Josh, quick question. Which fuse did you use to power that unit? I have a grill light that I plugged to D/L fuse and it's a weird one. Usually around 1:30pm that circuit will turn on even when the car is off for couple of minutes and then will turn off, some kind of a system check I guess, but it's weird looking at the lights turn on and off for no reason.

I don’t have the car in my possession so I can’t answer that. When I get it back I’ll update you.

@@roamingwithjosh looking for the answer on this as well! Killed a battery with my Trigger system because I couldn’t find the right aux fuse slot location. Just went straight to battery and it trickled the battery out

When I get back to California I can find out for you. I don't currently have access to the vehicle.

I’ve been really wanting to order one. Would be super cool if someone made a 3d printed piece that fit on that little leather piece above our out switches below the drivers side vent. I know some exist for Tacoma’s. Currently using a SKM Fab switch wired in the blank spot by the other switches. But as I plan on adding more lights, seemless integration into the cockpit would be nice.
@roamingwithjosh Жыл бұрын
I agree. I really wish Subaru put a few aux switches in the vehicle from the factory.

If you have the red wire connected to auxiliary,does that mean your fridge turns off when the car is off?
@roamingwithjosh Жыл бұрын
If the small red wire is connected to auxiliary then your unit will only be on when your car is turned on which means you can only run your fridge when the car is running. I've had my fridge ran through this system and then I changed it to run off my aux battery.
