Your 2nd place finish in the tournament is almost meaningless compared to your 1st place finishes in sportsmanship, class, and genuine strength of character!! Great job, Greg. The number of anglers that learned the definition of being gracious from you is of more value than anything else you could possibly post in any fishing video!!

Wow, Greg. My admiration for your sportsmanship is through the roof right now. As a Tournament Director who was involved in a “gray area” dispute that ended with me and another TD paying money out of our own pockets to resolve the conflict, I’m blown away by how you handled this. Such class, such graciousness. I guess that’s not a surprise to the people who know your level of integrity, but it’s certainly refreshing and sets you head and shoulders above many of your peers.

Putting ethics at the forefront. You are a humble and standup guy. Congrats on winning the tournament. You had no obligation to forfeit the last fish, the judges accepted it. The second place finisher also had a great tournament. IMHO he should have followed your example and refused your forfeiture and kept the second place spot. That gray area is for the tournament judges and directors to iron out. As you note, hopefully in future tournaments they will define the exact time in writing prior to the start so everyone is on the same page and there is no question. Again, good form sir.

Thanks for taking time to chat and take a pic with my son at the boat launch when we all came in. First tournament, first smallmouth bass caught, and a great day on the water x2! Even enjoyed the white caps on the water when it occurred./s You sat in one spot all day, as my son and I watched Daigo sit in one spot almost all day as well. I kept looking over his way and he kept yanking bass out of the water. Excellent sportsmanship, and what a decision to make. Congrats to the both of you!

The thing ghat draws me to kayak Bass Fishing is the fact you are all so ethical! You get along with your competitors!! You chose to do the honorable thing that sat right with you! Never change that.

Wow. So much to say but not enough time to say all of it. Simply, nobility, humility and honesty are qualities that our society began shedding as signs of weakness many years ago. Yet isolated pockets of honest and humble people still remain…..thank God. Your actions demonstrate just what and honest, humble and ethical man you are Greg. Don’t change ranks. America is at a crossroads and we desperately need more people such as you. Felicitaciones!!!! Tourney looked like so much fun. Think what kind of damage you would have inflicted had you brought just one A-rig!!!!!! That goes into the memory bank!!! Seeing you kick ass motivates us to try harder. We have been in a two year slump on the salt and we are beginning to realize that time on the water once again, is king. Once I sell my ‘13 Revo definitely getting something I can use in freshwater. Red the simplicity of kayak fishing back. Boats need constant wrenching; gets tiring. Maybe just getting old and need less hassles. Anyway, once again, CONGRATULATIONS and thanks for posting this one. Definitely a high watermark video. Tight Lines!!!! PS: I highly recommend a bottle of Basil Hayden Kentucky Straight Bourbon for your gang’s next outing. However stay clear of it if you want to fish the next day…!!!
