eh, not much of a country if you cannot guarantee your responsibilities as a member after one (albeit a big) conflict near the border areas. This is the type of discussion that benefits Russia to the detriment of its neighboring (and a lot smaller countries) - despite having many internal (and external) problems they're able to sow uncertainty among western world and the alliance

FACT CHECK: NATO bombarding Yogoslavia was not defense action. It was the first time that NATO had used military force without the authorization of the UN Security Council. In a 2004 advisory opinion, the The International Court of Justice stated that the use of force by a state is not lawful unless it is authorized by the Security Council or is justified by self-defense or another exception to the prohibition on the use of force.

FACT CHECK: Serbia illegally attacked Croatia in 1991, illegally attacked Bosnia in 1992, illegally attacked Kosovo in 1999. Serbs committed genocide in Bosnia in 1995. NATO intervened in 1999, at the END of the genocidal campaign that Serbia did. NATO did everything they could to appease Serbia and stop their genocidal advance but Serbia didn't listen. In the end, with overwhelming support of the world, NATO intervened and bombed Serb military targets to stop another genocide from happening, and NATO was successful.

1. NATO main goal was to protect capitalist, and it still is one of the main goals. At the moment: 2. every NATO member is, basically, occupied by the US. 3. NATO is the US's main tool of maintaining control over the world, and thus the large US spendings on it. 4. hard to call NATO a defensive alliance after so many wars started by it.

I am surprised PBD is not addressing why the US is funding Nato the most. It has nothing to do with America being rich. America has 332+millions citizens, Germany 84+ and France has 65+millions. so the contributions would obviously be different in percentage. Also, this huge gap confirms that the US rules over Europe for contracts: military and industrial. That is the colonialist process. We all know who messed up in Ukraine in 2014. Victoria Nuland and the US government she represents. We know so let's stop pretending we are trying to save the world. Democracy as they love to say they defend (DS) is non existant. The priority the US gives to Ukraine is continued corruption. The democrats in the US are implementing the WEF, UN, NATO, WHO etc Agenda 21. everyone wake up.

Bingo. As an Indian majority of us share this pov. The respect for the US is falling with each passing war. And we aren't even that affected by US wars, but when u look at the middle East and most of Africa(which is fighting imperialism even now ex niger) they absolutely hate what NATO and especially US has become. And better believe it, Africa and Asia is absolutely on the side of Russia when it comes to direct conflict and don't underestimate BRICS, it's growing big-time now. It's sad what a great country US was and what it's becoming now. Only trump, ramaswamy and maybe RFK really get what's going on, the western politicians have absolutely no idea of geopolitics and they are sleepwalking their own citizens into a major disaster ( both economically and military).

It was their territory and historical base of their black sea fleet for about 400 years, until a Ukr born Soviet President Khrushchev gifted it and the Donbass to his native homeland Ukr. Odessa was built and founded by Tsarina Catherine the Great. That's why it's full of Russ...this was generally considered Ok since at the time, they were all just states within the Soviet Union...like you have Texas and California, but after it's disintegration in 1991. This started causing major issues. Nevertheless they opted to lease it rather than take it back until 2014 when it was clear that they could lose it altogether.

Funny how I have been following this entire global game for over 25 years now and really glad that someone with a big following you that is finally covering something way more important then business and entrepreneurs. I would highly recommend interviewing John Perkins who wrote the book "The economic hitman" His position working directly for the evil elite is beyond informative. I would also interview the fed chairman so Americans can learn directly how the president and congress have no power over them. Then every American would question .. why do we vote for a rigged system and why should any American join the military that only is being used by those behind the federal reserve to establish a New World Order. Americans mean nothing to this government and the Evil elite controlling our presidents, congressmen and women and in charge of U.S. Oil that the people will never benefit from like other leaders in oil rich nations that charge close to nothing for Gas. If the people and President our talking about the federal reserve like Kennedy did before he was killed then we are all talking about nothing. Therefore nothing will ever change until the federal reserve is removed. Until I see a title "lets remove the federal reserve" then everything else is basically meaningless. I am all about chess and not checkers. I am denouncing my citizenship next year so my kids wont grow up in the is corrupt place.

The problem is USA who invaded Iraq and Afghanistan illegally, that had nothing to do with NATO but with influence from certain corporations over US govt. NATO, however, is an organization that saved more than one country from extinction. You can argue about illegal interventions but as an organization, NATO was never on the wrong side of history.

You can argue with their critiques, but it's hard to judge their values. Parts of Ukraine are estimated to be worth a hundred trillion dollars, and that are the parts Russia took over. And that is not hard to believe when Black Americans can't secure concessions or negotiations for reparations, which are now estimated to be worth $40 trillion dollars. Those things isn't hard to believe, especially considering that you can fit more than five United States within Africa, while there some powerful American politicians claim that Africa's resources are worth nothing. That is worth of believing seeing the privilege of corruption continues to persist. 🤔 *The Irish received reparations under the 1944 GI Bill, which meant that even white people received reparations while Black people were locked out of the benefits. Additionally, the Jewish community has received reparations twice - once from Germany, which paid reparations, and the second time under Obama in 2014 when $12 million in reparations were facilitated. Asian Americans have also received payments twice at different times.

Reparations are a foolish pursuit. The black community needs to focus on getting out of the welfare trap and keeping fathers in their homes. Those two root issues would do a lot to uplift and promote prosperity thus nullifying the need for constant government assistance....the same government that is supposedly systemically racist, why take money from that which is despised. Makes no sense when logic is applied. Just asking for more free stuff will only perpetuate a culture in decline.

Just a few historical facts to consider that are not widely known in the west, that show the NATO's role in the 90's. When in march of 1991 the war in Bosnia was right about to begin, the representatives of the Serb (R. Karadzic), Bosniak (A. Izetbegovic) and Croat (M. Boban) people all signed the Coutillier peace plan which would have prevented the future war and thus future involvement of NATO, then however the Bosniak leader Izetbegovic had a publicly announced meeting with the American ambassador Warren Zimmermаn and by "pure coincidence", Izetbegovic after this meeting "decided" to withdraw his own signature from the peace plan. Just days later the war started with Izetbegovic's militia shooting up a Serbian wedding in Sarajevo, way before any moves were made by the Yugoslav/Serb side. Fast forward to 1999 and the war in Kosovo, American representative in OSCE monitoring mission William Walker went to investigate a supposed mаssacre in the village of Racak commited by the Serb forces against the Albanian civilians, along with him came a forensic from Finland Helena Ranta. They both accused Belgrade and that was used as casus belli for the NATO bombing of Serbia, but as you can already guess, after the war the same Finnish forensic Helena Ranta admitted that the American representative Walker pressured her into tampering with the report, while in reality the supposed "civilian" victims, all male, had bullet holes that were in different places on their "civilian clothes" and on their bodies. Yet, no one in the west ever spoke about it again and to this day NATO and America protect there a majority unrecognized non-UN member self declared republic alike Ossetia and Transnistria, but only Russia is the one that is accused of violating UN rules and territorial integrities of other countries.

Excellent post, Pat. In my personal opinion NATO has never been a deterrent against global aggression. The war business has been managed like any other. The exception being, that the product is strategic depopulation and the acquisition by force of ownership and control of resources. Including people. The misapplication of technology in warfare has made wars scalable. You're probably familiar with the global conflict maps which have offered instant situation reports over the last several decades. If you track the conflicts they can be correlated to mineral resources, drug trafficking, human trafficking, money laundering and hence, covert operations. The territorial imperatives reflect the global agendas which until recently were dismissed as conspiracy theories. The game of nations has only escalated since the beginning of the 20th century. In the 21st, it's about consolidation and absolute control over the individual citizens. The unelected multilateral rulership are perfectly willing to have a limited nuclear conflict or to use the threat of one in order to frighten the world into compliance. You're spot on about the cyberwarfare, biological and the psychological warfare. We need an America First policy in order to regain control of economic sectors which have been sold out by the wholly-owned political establishment of Washington DC. If we don't purge our governments, federal, state, county, municipal, and local in 2024, it's game over for the American Republic.

Another major thing that is also overlooked is that Putin did make continued overtures to the NATO alliance with regards to becoming included in some way as a collective security measure but was continually rebuffed, and given the date it is also worth mentioning he made the same efforts of offer support to the US in the wake of the 9/11 attacks but was also overlooked. the reason US puts most money among the NATO partners is because NATO is important for US to maintain their hold in Europe. at one point even European nations were debating if NATO is any good for Europe and if they should dismantle NATO and form EU's US-Independent Military arm (they'd be very powerful if they did that, likely superior to China). This would've enabled Europeans to trade with Russia without American intervention. Also, Germany doesn't want to spoil their ties to China for US, because China is Germany's largest automobile market for their most expensive cars.

Awesome video! Can you also do a video on what happened in 1971. There were many things that happened in that same year that is kinda suspicious like independence of dollar from gold standard and the formation of the world economic forum. U dont have to worry about the US being on the loosing end of WW3. There will be no winners if it does. The USA is going to bungle up handling or dealing with BRICS. The reason for BRICS taking shape in itself is due to the USA abusing the dollars role as a global currency. The USA had been asked not to weaponsize the dollar. The rest of the world had called out to the USA to stop imposing economic sanctions unilaterally or the rest of the world will be forced to find an alternate to the dollar as the global currency. As usual, I think the USA no longer answers to its citizens. I mean look at Iraq 2.0 We would have thought that there would have been serious reforms in its approach to foreign policy after that debacle. Not only it had not, but the Warpigs have only become greedier and greedier. Lets not make a mistake. We south east asians are asking ourselves what the eff is NATO doing on our backyard. NATO is responding to Chinese aggression in the South China Sea? Blud, you far far away from home. There is no other way. USA Inc. I see Syria broken open and Islamic extremists running riot there and in Iraq, beheading, raping, stealing. And now we have Ukraine...destroyed in preference to the quite reasonable Minsk Accords. And who is at the root of all this? America. America doesn't spread democracy and human rights....it spreads chaos, slaughter, grand theft and its hegemony. America and the other NATO countries are bringing about another world war.....the only question is will it be Cold or Hot.

The US puts the most in WHAT??? FFS, get educated. The US is not paying to other countries or "putting in" or paying to NATO, those numbers are each countries' defense budgets and they can spend it as they see fit for their OWN defense. If the US was not in NATO its military budget would be even bigger, because it would rely only on itself, whereas in NATO they can get much help in all sort of ways. You fear the military/economic rise of China/BRICS? Then you NEED ALLIES... NATO is not encroaching anything actively, countries fear Russia's aggression and want to join NATO, not the other way around. Before this year Sweden/Finland did not want to join NATO, but now they applied for membership... The REAL BUDGET OF NATO: Allies agreed NATO’s civil and military budgets for 2023 at a meeting of the North Atlantic Council on Wednesday (14 December 2022). The civil budget is set at €370.8 million, and the military budget is set at €1.96 billion, representing a 27.8% and 25.8% increase, respectively, over 2022. That's a combined 2.33 Billion Euros spread across 31 members (Sweden expected to join soon), it's peanuts compared to USA's defense budget. NATO's budget was way smaller before Russia attacked Ukraine, now all countries have to spend big on defense, because of Russia's aggression. In a previous video PBD says: According to Forbes, the value of all of Ukraine's mineral resources is currently estimated at $14.8 trillion. Ukraine is also a potential critical mineral superpower, ranking fourth globally in terms of total assessed value of natural resources. Ukraine is home to 117 of the 120 most used minerals, with 97 identified minerals of high value across at least 8,700 surveyed deposits. (Apr 19, 2022) Do you want to leave all that to Putin so he can become more powerful and a bigger threat??? This guy is straight up MANIPULATING YALL, or he's just plain stupid, decide for yourself... He also missed the fact that countries in active war zones (Ukraine) can NOT join NATO, until conflict is resolved. Shtting your pants is not how you fight a bully, you gotta stand up to him. All analysts say Putin despises fear and indeciveness, if you show hesitation he'll eat you up.

@tobiasL1991
@tobiasL1991 Жыл бұрын
@@independentthought3390 The trade balance is another debate though, military sales also mean influence much more so than regular trade, ten times as much as regular trade if not even more. It's that influence the US is after. As for the trade balance in particular, it's not as detrimental for the US as people like to say it is, sure it looses jobs but it also makes products cheaper, if all the stuff was produced in the US many products would be more expensive. The reason I say it's not as bad for the US is because the US is more or less a money making machine, the percentage of their GDP which is not generated from international trade is the highest in the world. Which is vastly different from many other nations which are hugely dependent on international trade for their GDP. That GDP 'generates' funds to absorb that trade deficit. There are several asterixs on this, a big one is for example having a big trade deficit with a hostile nation like China is risky and the US can't let it's whole industry be hollowed out but that last part isn't happening since the US course corrected several years ago, although the trade deficit will keep expanding for several more years cause those changes take 5 years if not more to have an actual impact.

" Some people sometimes don't even imagine how aggressive Russia is to its neighboring countries, it either you are its vassal or its enemy." You just described the United States. Russia has tried to promote economic growth, trade and market growth with Europe and it's neighbors for years, as long as it's national sovereignty and sphere of influence were respected. It offered to join NATO, if so doing would promote greater economic growth. Russia has always been willing to work with the West, but only on it's terms, as an equal partner. The West wants a subordinate Russia, not an equal. Hence the efforts to diminish and weaken Russian assets and power. The US has strong armed almost every Western nation into supporting this aggressive aim, primarily through economic pressure and by providing military assets and troops. For the USA, you are either with us, or you are the enemy. ""To be an enemy of the US is dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal" - Henry Kissinger
