Every acquisition agreement should have extensive legal wording specifying that the acquisition is void and the assets be returned to the original holder without the original holder having to provide return of purchase payment to the acquisition party if the acquisition party is associated with China or if the acquisition was determined to impact national security/economic independence. The actionable effect of this wording should remain indefinite should that acquisition become further leverage for China in the future.

Western nations should implement a new law. Companies must remain private. If another company tried to buy them up, that other company must also remain private. Companies cannot be states owned except by the state that they founded in. That way Imagination Inc stays in UK, remains a UK company, and it cannot be owned by any Chinese company, because they are owned by the CCP or are controlled by them. Edit: If a foreign company or foreign states controlled/owned company wants to buy the company, that take over needs to be sanctioned by the government.
