I didn't know the novelization had so many new elements to the story. I just finished reading the original Tarantino script a few weeks ago. Not sure if you've read it but there was a rather lengthy scene were Hollywood (within the story itself)decided to make a film about Micky & Mallory. After their capture the actors interviewed Micky from jail and read Mallorys diary to get into their roles.
