Everything is lovely, Tracey, as always. When I lived in Hawaii, as a child, one year, my mother used a beautiful wooden branch and Hawaiian wooden flowers as our Christmas tree. Thank you so much for giving me the much needed jump start to my holiday decorating. I too have used an old chandelier I bought to make a crystal and floral arch for my son's wedding into tree ornaments. I handed quite a few of them out to family members as a reminder of that special day, but have so many left! We live in the country and most of my outside decor comes fresh from the property. Your ideas elevate the tired "cotton spun" and pine to an entirely different level. And of course, having had four Golden Retrievers, I smile every time we get a glimpse of your decorating assistant! @RuralRefurb this might make you laugh. We had a great growing season for our pumpkins. I had thirteen of them in my planters and around the porch. The temperature has dipped well below freezing the past week and they are frozen solid. Corralling them into my wheel barrow was hilarious. Finally I gave up and rolled them down the hill to our driveway. They sounded like bowling balls knocking into each other. We feed the deer and my hope was to crack them open for them but I think they will be hanging around until spring! Maybe even longer! Lol sometimes you just have to roll with it!

Hi Tracy We just got back from Thanksgiving holiday, so I am in the mood to decorate. I volunteered to make favors for a women’s club at church, as we go to an Italian restaurant, exchange a ten dollar gift and have favors. I volunteered this year and I am doing delicious smelling goat’ milk soap and making little treat bags with yummy chocolates. But, after doing the soap I was ready to start decorating, but after carrying stuff in on a freezing day from the garage I did not get much started . I was delighted to see you and your wonderful trees and pretty mantel and table etc. I will be excited to get up and start. I did get together a huge grapevine that looks like a gigantic bows. So far, I have not seen my gigantic pine cones from North Carolina. I hope my decor looks a tenth as good as yours. Darn , I wish I had a chandelier I could take apart. I thrifted a bag of chandelier crystals for $1 and I love styling with them. My Thanksgiving table was styled with thrifted cut glass serve ware and goblets, that appealed to my vintage loving side and it was sparkly and elegant. Hello my sweet friend! I hope you& your family had a wonderful & blessed Thanksgiving! Did Giles get to be home for the holiday? Oh yes sweet Bertie look super excited for sure!😁 Oh Wow the garland you made is gorgeous!💚 Oh I'd love to have seen the purple & lime green tree! I bet it was stunning! Any color green is my fav color & i do like those 2 colors together! I had planned to do a purple & aqua blue theme one year but it was the year we moved from NC to TN & all my things we still in storage that first Christmas. But i saw those colors together in a magazine & it was so beautiful! I've seen purple & like green in magazines but I'd love to actually see it in someone's house & not staged. I have a couple of those bobbins, great idea to use them in the tree! I remember you doing those raffe balls last year! I agree, crystals or cut glass on a tree is beautiful, adds an extra layer of sparkle to the tree! I used gold, white & crystals or glass or anything clear & sparkly, for quite a few years on my tree. I love the chandelier crystal ornaments you made!🤍 The kitchen tree is gorgeous!!🎄 Love the packages underneath too! The garland looks amazing on the mantle! Love how you've decorated it!💚 The bowl DIY is gorgeous! I love the coffe table decor, its beautiful! The hanger DIY's are so pretty! Oh I love how you decorated the table under the mirror with the pretty coat hanger swag! Again, gorgeous!💚 And i remember you using lots of copper fairy lights last year as well. I'm loving all the velvet ribbons everyone is using, and i love how you're leaving long tails on yours! I saw someone using the really wide ribbon in a really deep red & tie a big loopy bow on each end of the mantle. She left rally long tails. Then she took one tail from each end to the center of the mantle, it hung in a scallop. She layered really thick garland with a strand of bells hanging & a strand of gold metal stars, but they didn't hang together perfectly! Then of course fairy lights. But with the looped ribbon tails & the gold or brass tone pieces, it looked very Victorian! Now I know everyone needs a break, time to depend with family, especially during the holidays..i understand you taking the time! I think you did the same last year. But that's A loooong time without seeing you & your amazing videos!🫤 Your house, inside & out, is stunning as always & i always thoroughly enjoy watching you decorate! And love watching all the DIY's! I'm def going to miss you my friend but please enjoy this time with family, & friends, making tons of wonderful memories!

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest corner of the U.S.A. There were many tree nurseries that offered LIVING (not cut) Christmas Trees with the root ball INTACT....so it can be planted outside after the Holidays are over. That was all my family ever bought, and those (now huge) trees are both lovely sentimental reminders of Holidays past, AND a great source for cuttings in the present. After marrying and moving away, I was profoundly disappointed to learn this practice is completely unheard of. So I opt for artificial, because the tree hugger in me simply cannot abide cutting one down., LOL, To the best of my knowledge, Living Christmas Trees with Attached Root Balls aren't available in England either. How I wish more Tree Nurseries worldwide would correct this, in those climates where evergreens can grow. :) Now I'm off to decorate my artificial (but beautiful to me) tree. :)

I'm in Canada and we don't have anywhere near the option that the States have in the way a faux greenery, i do however have access to trees lol 😅 That garland you made is more beautiful than any "real feel" fake ones I've ever seen !!!
