Natural Cover Scent | Scent Blender? Is this real?

This is a REVIEW of the SCENT BLENDER.
The scent blender allows you to choose the smell that you want to use in the area you are hunting or fishing. Till allows you to mix in what ever items natural to the place you are at. It gives it a fresh smell.

Sorry guys, I know im going yo ruffle feathers here, but I'm giving you the truth. I'm big on scent control, as any serious trophy hunter must be. That said, I feel the urge to bring some light to the topic of "cover scents."" Im a professional k9 handler/master trainer, and so the science of scent is directly in my wheelhouse. Deer, just like dogs, have the ability to individually distinguish over 100 scents simultaneously. To illustrate this to my students, I use the "vegetable stew" analogy. When you and I smell the stew, we may pick up one or two of the more prominent scents like onions or garlic, but for the most part, we smell the totality of the concoction... the sum of its parts. Deer, on the other hand, smell each odor individually and simultaneously. It is literally just as impossible to cover-up your human odor as it is to completely eliminate it. If you are fooling deer, its because you are wind and scent conscious. I do believe you can reduce your scent signature and fool a deer into believing you are farther away that you actually are. The commercial hunting industry has soaked billions out of the everyday hunter and I'm here to tell you that its all placebo. This is just science gentlemen. God Bless.

I completely agree with you. When it comes to deer hunting you can never be 100% scent free. The reason I like the scent blender is it will save me money over time. Every year hunter like myself purchase sent control products. We use it up and purchase more and more at the end of the day it adds up. At first the scent blender is a investment but over time it’ll help me save. Wind is definitely the biggest factor in hunting but scent control doesn’t hurt. I honestly appreciate your comment and you sharing your knowledge.

@infinitehuntoutdoors I understand what you are saying. But, what are you actually saving money on? If cover scents don't work, the way to save money is by not wasting money on them at all. Instead, spend the money on scent elimination products.

@@infinitehuntoutdoors none of that stuff works. Its all a waste of money. There have already been tests with scent tracking dogs and the dog busts the hunter every single time no matter what scent cover was used. Save money, play the wind. Everything else is a waste of time and money.

I haven't used anything more than baking soda (for clothes washing, brushing my teeth, bathing and sprinkling in the tote with my hunting clothes) and a spray bottle with 1:3 vanilla extract and water for cover scent. It's been 3 years, and I see and harvest the same number of deer as before.

I’ve always collected materials and boil it. Let it cool and pour it in a spray bottle. Then just take it with me in the woods..

People please don't spray that on your game cam. It's not needed. The only reason he can say it works is because with some deer it will but with a mature deer you better make sure your hunting the wind. Hunt using the wind period. This ain't gonna fool a deer but may give you a few more seconds or so for a shot
