010 - Natural Ecosystem Change
In this video Paul Andersen explains how the Earth's climate will natural change due to interactions between the Sun and Earth, volcanism, and plate tectonics. Species may go extinct leading to adaptive radiation or may move to a suitable climate. Primary and secondary succession are also discussed.

Adaptive radiation isn´t only caused by (mass) extinction though. It´s caused simply by having niches that a species can fill. For example the darwin finches came from a less adapted species which migrated to galapagos and there specialized and became multiple species. There was no extinction involved, a migrated species simply adapted to already available niches.

Been trying to explain all of this to the global warming crowd for a long time now. Many other enormous forces acting on this Earth, not just carbon production.

I hope that the implication is not that global warming is insignificant due to other factors, because human-caused greenhouse gas emissions have been shown to be the cause of recent incredible levels of global warming in countless studies.
