Just love to watch your cage theme creations, it truly makes my day. I often watch your cage theme tours over and over for they inspire me and are so entertaining. I mix my Carefresh with Living World bedding. My hamsters prefer it as bedding in their house.

Our ham Tikka just loves and lives to dig and tunnel. The best entertainment I can possibly give her is deep bedding, then I get payback by seeing all the tunnels and dens she makes each night 😊 love your natural play cage x

Yeah, Kashi certainly knows how to make a big mess in a short amount of time! 😂 For her main cage (not the one in the video, the Rainforest one), I so far haven't re-done it! I've done a couple of major spot cleans, but nothing as far as changing things around. I'm considering doing some changes over summer though, especially as she's becoming more confident and not as skittish! I might switch out some of the toys or add a burrow pit perhaps.

Those people dont understand that pets are not only for fun, but they also require someone to take care of and if youre not ready for a hamster like you said, then i think people should respect that. But i guess they were just so excited for you to get a new hamster that they forgot about how you feel about it and just basically forgot everything. They did think about themselves and you getting a hamster. And yeah. They will learn someday that someone like you is not obligated to get a pet just because you are a pet youtuber. They will learn that i hope. Aaah thank you hahaha thats so sweet. I love talking with you a lot. But i just wanna say that its okay to be cranky. You are free to tell us anything and everything that you are going through! We will listen. Hello hopping hammy how are you doing today fine I hope it's Soo good to see you and Kashi again. I miss you so much I'm not sure what day it is in the US I think it might be Wednesday today in the UK it's Thursday evening 7. 17 in the evening I use carefresh in the UK we don't have the other one I think it's clean and cosy I'm really not sure. Bella got that same color in her cage at the moment I really love the colours carefresh comes in. I love it when Kashi is borrowing I really love all the little things in her cage I think I saw fairy Lane that was cute. And guess what I'm Soo Soo happy Bella let me hold her well she stands on my hands and then she gets off again but it's progress I've still got more work with her to go she is a delight to have she can be a bit of hard work at times but she letting me hold her it's all worth it well take real good care of yourself and Kashi and lots of love from Jackie and Bella bye for now love Jackie x x x

Lol! Yes the closet is stuffed full of bins and bags of bedding, but I can't complain as it can always be used for cages in future! Aw, another hamster named Carob! :') For tips: 1. Film quality over quantity. Only put up videos you are proud of and not ones you rushed through. 2. Try to have consistently good lighting and good audio. 3. Research extensively before putting any informational content out there. (Especially when it comes to animal videos.) 4. Post content you have fun making and don't feel pressured to film something you don't enjoy. 5. Don't beg for subscribers or likes in your video or on other channels. This is the #1 turnoff to me when watching videos. 6. Don't get wrapped up in obsessively counting views or analytics and never compare yourself to other channels. You have something unique to offer that no one else does! 7. Work hard, but don't stress and make sure you're having fun! 😄

I actually prefer the natural bedding to the colourful ones. It's cheaper and sometimes if you mix too many colours it can be a bit overwhelming. I also really love the new cage theme!!

I got my dwarf hamster 1 year ago from today he has been in a cage too small from what he really needs but he is doing great. As a birthday present I’m going to put him into a ten gallon tank! would it be ok to use a 10 gallon tank with 2 more floors as a cage extension on top? i cannot find any cheaper cages for a hamster i am planning on getting so do you have any recommendations perhaps as well? it will most likely be a syrian hamster and i already have a 10 gallon all i need is the extender and the one i’ve been looking into does indeed have 2 more floors. i hope you respond!!!

Hi! :) It totally depends on the hamster and I don't usually have a set time. Typically I just watch Kashi's behavior and when she seems to get bored or want to get out (climbing the sides or looking like she wants to settle down somewhere), I will put her back in her main cage. It can range anywhere from half an hour to a few hours. My past hamster, Carob, used to play in her play cage for 3-4 hours as she had TONS of excess energy. By the time I put her back in her main cage, it was my bed time and she was able to settle down and take a snooze. Just a note if you do use a play cage, make sure to have food and water available if your hamster will be in there longer than 20-30 minutes. I oftentimes offer Kashi some water or food while she's exploring, and sometimes she'll take it and other times she'll be like, "No I'm too busy playing!" 😄

I’ve been using that bedding type for years! I know this is sponsored, but which bedding is your favourite? Carefresh or Kaytee... I always use the Carefresh natural bedding but sometimes when I watch KZbin videos I feel like the Kaytee looks softer. I’ve had no problems with Carefresh, just wondering if I should change it up for my hammy or stick to the usual :) cute cage and hammy

Hi! I actually really like them both in their own way and for different reasons. :) Carefresh has a much wider variety of colors available, which is perfect for people like me who enjoy doing cage themes. I also find it to be slightly more absorbent. Kaytee however *is* really soft and is great to use in nest areas as it holds the burrows well! Sometimes I like mixing the two types together for the best of both worlds. Hope this helps!

Hello! :) Thanks for your sweet compliment! Regarding your question, silica gel packs are actually used for removing moisture - namely in paper products such as boxes or in electronics. They don't remove odor and I wouldn't suggest using them anywhere near hamsters, for the reason they are toxic if eaten. I'd hate for a packet to accidentally fall into the cage or your hamster escape and eat the contents. May I ask, do you have a female Syrian by any chance? Also do you do daily spot cleaning to keep the odor to a minimum? What bedding do you use? All of these things can affect odor around the cage. :)

Hello! Carefresh might come along and clarify my answer to your question. As far as I'm aware you can get some varieties of Carefresh where you are, but perhaps not all of them. Hello! Yes I do! :) She will be roughly 1 year old in June! I was told she was 6 months when I adopted her, although that could be off by a month or so and she could be older? But I'm going to celebrate her b-day in June anyway! 😄 🐹
