I bought the pre-release for this game many many years ago, it came with some kind of black armor. I played the game one time and it was too twitchy for me, I had no fun. Never played again. I had forgotten about this game for many years and somehow remembered it and found this playthrough. Looks like a whole lot of skill is needed to play this game well and there is a deep strategy involved too. Interesting to watch, thanks for posting this video.

not with the negativity on display. If you want newbs to be interested, they need to feel a welcoming atmosphere even as they are messing up, not people barking at them "go here! go there! what are you doing?! etc" That's why I left the game, and many others

​@@tomatodamashi I agree that no1 should bark on public servers. On the other hand, there are a lot of people who don't want to be taught. The veterans should be more gentle while speaking (sometimes the bark comes out because of the adrenaline of the moment), but the new player should listen even more to understand the mechanics and play well the game.

Every time he yells at people sometimes he doesn’t explain shit and there are even games on this dude’s channel where clearly his strat isn’t working but he’s too stubborn to change it. Super annoying dude but still thankful he’s hosting some servers for this game.

If possible can you set up a west coast bad server? I live in Asia and there are no servers here. So i need to join US and EU ones. I play on bad but sometimes I get time outs when joining making it impossible to have a session. If you do have a west coast server then which one?

I have a question, since you’re the specialist here: A friend of mine tends to skip shotguns and go straight for advanced armory when playing commander. Is that a bad strategy of worth copying?

Today's meta is to skip shotguns, it used to be really powerful to get shotguns earlier, they're still good, but now in general you try to get AA up sooner. Shotguns are actually buffed, but they feel weaker than AA. They recently nerfed hmg a bit. You should always consider that some players are much better at shotguns, so try to be aware of that

they also take up "supply", which is the total amount of things you can build. Also they cost 3 or 5 res, I can't remember. 5 res to get the structure. If anything, they slow down your upgrade path and are typically way to easy to kill to make it your central strategy

Yea I mean I guess I'm proud that people are feeling like I'm good enough to analyze how I'm playing the way I do. I have been playing natural selection for 20 years and I love the game so much I run 9 servers for it. I always wanted to be a really good ns player and i feel like I'm always getting better. You should be able to hear what I hear with headphones on while you're watching. I use Dolby atmos and some decent headphones to try to have directional sounds

Alan what you see and hear is exactly what I do. And yea I think the hit indicators might have been from the bile landing behind me, but in this game you become paranoid to check behind you especially in that spot, I expect attacks from behind. I'm not the best, but experience will make you play on some next level situational awareness
