Stumbled across this channel amd cant wait to see more content. What a great vid. I've always noticed how when a blue budgie is wet, they look "muddy", almost black. Now I know the science behind it 🐦 🤓 Thank you!

Well, that's a weeks worth of "you learn something new every day" in just over 8 minutes. No more learning for me for a few days! 😂 I had no idea that birds didn't have blue pigment, that's fascinating! I hope everyone at NHM has a wonderful holiday season!

Hi Gentlemen sorry you may have mentioned this but because of the man’s lovely accent I may have missed it. Anyway I always read that Robins mate for life is this true pleased? Plus both sexes have red breast as the ones I see building a nest do but I got confused with the plain one as I thought you said it was the female? Thank you

Thank you for your question and all the lovely comments. We've checked and I'm afraid robins are not known to mate for life 😔. But you are quite right adult male and female robins do usually have a redbreast, the second one on the table in this film without, is a juvenile, so hasn't developed it yet.
