Can we talk about how much of a champ Grace was?! In my opinion, she accomplished the hardest part. She detangled, twisted (and twisted WELL), and she smoothed out the ends. I had a feeling she would do better than people expected, but damn. Most importantly, she was being very gentle and not complaining about type 4 hair being "so hard" or "too much" like many non-textured hair people talk about textured hair. This video was great

Just like Evelyn, I think Grace did a pretty good job. I personally went to professional stylists who did not know how to properly style my hair (relaxed or natural) but were totally OK for the rest of the process. There are also a lot of naturalistas with type 4 hair who never achieved a good twist out but have healthy moisturized hair (and just like Evelyn, they only do wash n go). I just think Grace did not see any tutorials with women fluffing their hair with an afro pick. I have 4b/4c hair and without my pick... my twist out looks CRAZY AF!!!

Oh Grace. SMH. I would have maybe suggested leaving the twists lose in the front of the French roll only separated more. In order to lay Evelyn's edges, wetting the hair that you're applying the edge control gel to (to make it more pliable and accepting of the gel, hahahahahaaaaaa) along with tying it down with a scarf for an hour or so would have worked well. I'm writing this as if you're really trying to do each other's hair oon a regular basis. Anyhoo! Those are my tips. I love you guys in videos together. I want that sweater, Grace!

I think Evelyn did AMAZING on Grace's hair. Like, she could have taken a brush gently to it, or even just smoothed the hair a bit more with her fingers. Her hair is wearable, because that is my natural hair. So I'm amazed at how well Evelyn handled Grace's hair. As for Evelyn's hair, Grace started so well, but struggled. She should look up what to do after twist outs, especially with the length of Evelyn's hair, it gets a bit tricky to style. But you know, it's a bit easier to work with long hair, and straighter hair because you can just run a brush through and it's styled enough. Natural hair is difficult, even for those who are used to it. Props to both of you ladies for doing your best, and trying it out.
