You had some cool wash and go combos! I like a harder holding more defined and elongated wash and go that will last over 7 days. My favorite right now is TGIN supermoist leave-in mixed with TGIN butter cream daily moisturizer underneath Eco olive oil gel! It gives me extreme moisture yet maximum long-lasting hold and definition! Thanks for sharing your favorites!

The Lemongrass gel has several plant oils in it. It is a very nourishing gel.

I used the Okra Gel (it smells AMAZING & goes on great during application) from NLS with the Melanin Leave-in & my hair has great definition, but it is feels dry & crunchy on the ends.. I’m gonna try it with a thicker leave-in next time bc I really like the gel but need more moisture.. I’m also gonna try a couple of the combos you mentioned bc I have a few of these products! It's only dry on the ends? The ends are the oldest part of your hair, so they do need extra moisture on them. I would say to try something a little thicker next time, too. Let me know how it goes. Thanks for watching.

I tried the okra gel with the banana leave in and it was just ok. I only got like 2 or 3 days before it was super frizzy but then I tried it over curly magic and I got bomb results! Still not a ton of longevity but nice and fluffy

If you are not used to frizz, then you may not like it. It is a softer hold and will frizz as the days go on, but that is the nature of natural hair. I don't mind frizz in my hair so it was great for me. I'm glad it worked for you with the UFD. Thanks for watching.

I used the same .. (Okra Gel W/ Banana leave-in) except I used UFD as a topper gel. I refresh my hair daily with a spray bottle using a very light mist and also add ( lightly mist ) Innersense Sweet spirit leave in conditioner … my WNG will last all week (I wash my hair weekly) and I workout 5 days a week at the gym and my head sweats however the frizz at the end of the week is minimal 🙌🏾 I pineapple my hair at night and sleep in a satin bonnet. I recently ordered the avocado leavin-in and I’m excited to see how well it works too. I think I finally found my holy grail combo styling products 👍🏾💪🏾…..Thank you Rae for the other recommendations, I have a lot of the products you mentioned and need to use them up !!! 🙌🏾💕🤗

I am conflicted about the NLS okra gel. I will have to try it again. I bought 2 of them so hmmm 🤔. I will be playing around with it. Especially because it has a 6 months self life.

It was a lot thicker than I thought it would be. My hair was crunchy as heck. It gave me the ramen noodle look. It has been 4 days and it has loosen up a little. I will send you a DM on IG so you can see it.

Glad to know I’m not the only one. I got similar results after using it this past weekend did the first time. I’m not a fan of that crunch at all but I’m going to see how long it lasts. I’m on day 2. I would like more moisture as well and slip

@@DaFinestAngie I agree. I used the banana leave in and the avocado cream and my hair was so hard and crunchy. I will try it with my design essentials mousse. I hope it doesn't flake. I also felt like I had to use a lot because it wasn't doing anything.

Great video! Definitely using some of these combos soon. Okra gel i love it more with the avocado leave-in. I forgot that i had the alikay naturals twisting butter and i just started editing videos for my week of favs. I’ll have to try their gel.

Hey Rae, I use Oyin hair dew with the Mane Choice tropical moringa gel. My hair loves is combo. The NLS combo I tried I liked,but not as much slip as the Tropical Moringa gel.

Going to save this video so o can try some of these combos. I’m currently trying out the NLS combo. I’m on day two hair of my wng. I’m trying to find what works for since I normalize twist outs. That exact combo gave my hair some crunch, I’ll see how long it holds up though. TFS

Thank you! I would try the Cheers Gelato combo because it has a less chance of flaking, especially since it's your first time doing a wash and go. BUT, make sure you apply on soaking wet hair (a little goes a long way) and that you dry your hair completely under a hooded dryer because this gel can be sticky if you don't. Let me know how it turns out!
