My grandmother's house was on this lake. I spent a lot of time there growing up. So many good memories. I can tell you those of us who live around here don't appreciate its beauty enough. It's really a lovely lake.

This was spectacular! What a gorgeous place... and so beautifully shot. Man, we better wake up and take care of this incredible planet we have! The elegantly simple beauty of the beaver's nose rippling the water really hit me. 🌍🧡

I grew up there. My family had a lake house on Carter's Lake...a tributary of Caddo Lake. This really take me back to a lovely place and time.

Caddo Lake was also the site of the first offshore oil well drilling with many old derricks remaining that were cut just below the waterline

What a spectacular place. I’m wondering what the bang bang bang bang sound at one second and later in the video is. It sounds man-made, like nearby construction, perhaps. I’m glad it wasn’t edited out because it’s part of the story and the reality of diminishing wild places.

Great job! Can I use some parts of this footage? Like 20 seconds of it or something like that. I'm doing Texas "bucket list" video for my Polish yt channel. Sadly I wasn't able to visit all of the places on my list so I need someone's help. Of course I'll credit you and your channel on my video.

Has anyone ever got attacked by alligators there? I really want to visit Caddo Lake but I'm scared of those gators.

I was just there today. Set up a pontoon boat tour with Captain Ron’s Swamp Tour. There are alligators, but in low populations and they swim off when they see humans. I even saw kids swimming off one of the docks. Not many snakes either. It’s worth it, and even more beautiful in person.
