What is often not touched on is whether the caregiver/parent tips more towards nature or nurture. Environments children grow up in where the parent tends to fall more towards the nature aspect, more of a laissez faire approach is taken. Whereas if the parent leans more towards nurture in their philosophy, they're more conscious, involved and reflective of their child rearing. I think it's also a fair assumption that often times nature tends to win out as it can be less painful of an experience as it alleviates much responsibility off of caregivers, as well as individuals (and society as a whole) regarding their choices. It's often much comfortable to hear "it's okay, it's beyond your control". For example a bully, or an emotionally abusive parent, a child begins acting out in late adolescence, it's more comfortable for all to hear it's a 'chemical imbalance' and just take everyone for their word's worth, saving familial bonds, avoiding calling anyone on the carpet, and also saving the individual acting out from traversing down possibly emotionally tumultuous and painful pathways of reflection. This can often then become mistaken for 'nature' as the cycle continues to repeat itself for generations. And one more tidbit in the nature/nurture discussion, there are far more KNOWN variables in the nurture category than in the nature category. And this definitely contributes to a mind-boggling experience when explaining human behavior. That and the most crucial influences occur in young adolescence, which, unless you were there, can be tricky to diagram. Fascinating, fun and quite productive activity, however :) I encourage all to self reflect and attempt to silently diagram others when time allows.

I had a wild fox pup raised up , trained and tamed it along with my puppies ,but when they grown up ,my 🦊 acted instinctively according to its pre- set desire and eventually had all my hens and chicks away. So nature vs nurture.

I know this is more a philosophical item then a psychological one but it always bugs me how individual choice is often brushed away in the nature vs nurture debate now granted it probably the smallest factor but even a milligram can tip a balanced scale

Abraham Feinberg I theorise that nature relates to what choices are available and nurture relates to what choice you make. Cards I find are the best analogy, we look at cards as a choice in life to be made. Nature hands out a plethora of cards to some but little cards to others. Once the cards have been dealt then nurture helps guide and with proper training I believe may dictate the card that is selected. Although nurture may have the ability to select the card I believe it is nature that deals the hand.

Why do we talk about nurture vs nurture in health and social care ?

What do you mean? Specifically :) Nature v. nurture in health sometimes can refer to disorders/diseases. Did the cancer develop because it was in the genetic makeup of an individual or was it factors around him/her that caused it?
