Good video mate, personally I'll stick with my vango nevis 200, goes up quickly outer and inner automatically attached and a lower profile for stealth camping. Granted your tent has more head room.

Hey!!! I love my Cloudpeak as you may know which is the older style and in my opinion is better. Also important to note that the poles need to go in a certain way then the hood sits better. It’s always a bit flappy but I wrap the bungee cords around the poles to tension it. It’s a flipping great tent and I’ve had it out in all sorts of weather! 😍 Will be using my hammock tomorrow though! 😍 hope you’re well! 😃xx

When I have been for a camp and returned home and cleaned footprint I reattach for next time, it pitches all at one, easier in windy conditions. Change of door was a mistake for me. I have been in muddy conditions and it gets dirty easy because in can flop outwards. Great tent, probably now the replacement for the vango banshee.

@@englishwoodsman I used it a the woods you recommended near the cricket pitch, it was abit boggy and got the door pretty dirty, dragged it out with me when getting out. I use two cloths pegs for speed now to keep it in place.

Nice review Dan. I'm a Vango fan boy but I've always like the look of this tent. It reminds me of the Hilleburg Soulo but without the massive price tag.

Hi Doug, you're spot on regarding it looks like the Hilleburg - it is the image. If you watch Hazy, he puts them side by side. It's my go to tent, and even my mate is well Jel when we go out together, he absolutely loves it.

T zip of the original version was designed with a small gap at the junction which allowed bugs to enter the tent, e.g. ants.... the new version is "bug proof". Without realizing it, I pitched my tent on the anthill and no ants entered overnight. The design of the new zip suits me better but the quality is lesser (no YKK). The new version of the tent has additional reinforcements at the fastening cords.

I got a Eureka TCOP tent, it has three poles two the same and one shorter. I went out in it and looked a proper nana trying to put it up. Lucky I had a sharpie and marked the short one for the next time. Should have put it up in the garden first. Stay safe Dan atb 👍🦊

Only things putting me off & why I'll stick with my Lanshan pro 2.... 1. the top flaps in the wind even with the mods. 2. the outer doesn't over lap the inner enough so if it rains, it drips into the inner when the outer in open. 3. The new inner door design means you let in all the midges (in Scotland) just nipping in & out. Other than that, I'd 100% buy one to alternate with my lanshan.

You did a great review of the 2022 cloud peak 2, I've got the updated version myself, when I went on a camp with a fellow KZbinr like yourself (Mr Wildwales) I did find that that flap you liked with the elastic, i did catch the zip on it, and it tore, maybe to many beers on my part, but the zips aren't the best, but it is a good tent for £145 that I got for and there's plenty of room for 1. I've actually just bought the 2nd of an OEX tent that I have, the bobcat 1 originally. from your recommendation on KZbin I've just bought the phoxx 1v2. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, keep it up mate 👍 but if I missed your comment if you recommend and liked the cloud peak 2 then I apologise as I still don't know if you like it.

Great thorough review Dan,for the money the tents absolutely fantastic,I can vouch for the waterproof capabilities of the tent,it's superb in regards to that,my only worry for the tent (although it's never happened to me & I own several Naturehike tents) is the strength of the poles as I know several people who have had tents fail due to broken poles when out in very windy conditions,I think like most tents apart from the big money Hilllebergs & such unless the weather forecast is for good weather it's probably not a tent for the mountains especially during winter but for pretty much everything else it's a brilliant tent ⛺

They changed it because the 3 zips that made the upside down T, when they were all together would still have a small circle hole that small bugs could get in. Had this tent for a good few trips and honestly the only thing I am not keep on is the fact that water can drip into your inner from the outer in rain. Other than the I think it's a perfect 3 season tent for a really good price,

The two biggest faults with this tent...are that the vestubules open in the same direction which is ridiculous and the hood leaks water into the tent

The reason you should soak a new tent with a hosepipe is to swell the stitches on the seams!! Thus ensuring they are completely sealed!

i bought this tent because it had rave reviews and i watched loads of videos saying how great it was , if i`d realised how utterly pants the new door design was i`d never have bought the damned thing , what on earth was Naturehike thinking??? good tent otherwise but after only two uses my yellow door has mud and curry stains on it already!! wouldn`t be an issue with a side rolling door

I have the Cloudpeak 3 version with the better material, there is 2 versions, a light weight and standard, it is not a 4 season tent, it is a good 3 season tent, good in summer, but cold when there is a wind blowing through. On the 3 man(2 man really)you can pitch the outer or inner first and want to buy the option with the ground sheet, has put up with some really windy weather, but quite a draughty tent.

@@englishwoodsman it's a good tent, but I would agree with the lad on the outdoor gear review, a 4 season tent is really something designed for Winter, i e double wall and so by design is not good in Summer, where you want max ventilation and lots of mesh. Proper Winter Tents are like the US Military Lite Fighter, which has kits for Winter, or the Scarp1. 4 Season to me is something you can use on Ben Nevis in Winter and not die!

Please note after 5 years of abuse the canopy hooks and loops fail due to UV denigration. Just get rid of them all and attach the bungy to the material loops.. After a lot of use re- water proof all the sew in points to the fly.. after lots of stretch and compress these points wick water... That said I got mine for 125 USD And its been bomb proof..

I disagree with the 4 season. A winter tent needs to have three essential elements: 1. outer skirt running all the way down to the ground. This is to prevent snow drifting. I understand the midpoint guy point for better ventilation, but you can't use that in snowy condition. 2. double zippered door for being able to open it from the top 2/3s, again this is to prevent snow drifting into the inner shelter. 3. top cross ventilation for condensation management. This would be reasonable in most weather situations, but I definitely would think twice about throwing this in a field of snow and gust.

Great video. Not sure some people watched it all before commenting (comparing other tents being quicker to pitch) as you clearly say the whole tent can be pitched together. I have the blue version of the original model. The blue one has a lower waterproof rating but weighs less, and the solid part of the inner doesn’t come up as high and can get a bit draughty. I sometimes wish there was less mesh in mine. I have no idea why they’ve changed the doors though, the older version was much more sensible.

I have this tent too and agree about the door. I do like the tent though and think it's definitely worth buying if you're looking for a sturdy, reliable budget tent. I made some modifications to mine after seeing a videoed on here showing these mods. They're certainly worth doing.
