Yes the new auto igniters with full turn seem to be a good improvement, overall a great value stove especially compared to the Jetboil.

Thanks for watching, keep up your great videos from the lovely UK countryside. Watching yours on the Naturehike made me go out and look for one! Glad that here in Thailand they are available on Lazada app. I found the grill plate useful for bacon and sausages with burner on simmer and careful cooking, but it is a bit too thin. Otherwise just the hinges are the only complaint.

If you replace the fuel canister with butane, does it take longer to boil water?

Not any noticeable difference at all, just cannot use pure butane in freezing temperatures, it will freeze before the isopro mixes that climbers use. In anything above 0 Celsius or 32F you will be fine as the butane cans are much cheaper and we fill up old isopro cannisters with butane too. There is a little brass filling gadget we found online.
