@@camping_guru_uk thanks for watching and I too think they’re excellent..in fact I’ve just started sorting my winter camp gear for the coming winter! In another note, I made my first purchase on Ali Express a couple of weeks ago, the new Naturehike Cloud Up2 Pro tent, and it went very smoothly 👍🏻

NorthFace booties have bottoms you can walk in that are more durable, yet rounded so you can wear them in your bag.

NorthFace gear is top notch, however for my purely internal tent use the Naturehike ones are a good cheap alternative, but if wanting for walking about camp I’d pay the extra 👍🏻

Got a pair of these but they didn’t keep my feet warm so I got a pair of Enlightened Equipment booties with the 6oz Apex insulation, my feet are now as warm as a bug in a rug! Also got some overbooties from Goose Feet Gear so I can wear them around camp and don’t have to take them off if I need to answer the call of nature in the middle of the night.

I found that the down clumps up throught the night so I cut a small slit in each and stuffed them with even more down from an old jacket, totally changed the booties .just sealed the slits back up with gorilla tape..down booties are a must in the winter. Atb

@@thecampingbiker791 I don't know how you wimps can sleep inside a sleeping bag wearing these, because I'd cook my feet! 😂 Mind you, I use very good winter ❄️ down sleeping bags, so generally sleep naked in the bag all winter (either my Mountain Warehouse Everest down bag, or a Rab 1100 down bag during main winter months). However when I'm awake sitting in the car during freezing temperatures 🌡️maybe watching a movie and not moving (car engine is never turned on) so my body extremities begin to cool down quickly; I'll then wear a pair of thick merino wool socks inside a pair of EngmoDun duck down booties (Swedish).

I've slept through -20 and the only thing I can't stand is the pain of freezing feet. Other than that I'm good to go hibernate anywhere all winter. I wrap a hoodie or jacket around my feet. Thanks for the video

Yes, very puffy once shaken out and really do make a difference… used extensively since the review and as recently as three weeks ago for just sitting in the tent with bitterly cold weather…can’t fault them as they just do the job required 👍🏻

I bought one of these after seeing your video. Actually I bought Lixada bootie as well. I have shoe size 9.5 and bought large and they feel snug to tight. Forget about wearing a socks inside with it. Downs inside is all over the place bunch up as it seems there is no baffle or anything to somewhat hold in place. I spent google 10 minutes trying to spread the down around... forget it about it. You will have a a lot of empty spots. Also, ankle is so small it is hard to get your foot in as there is absolutely no stretch to it. Both brands I bought is basically have same issues on size & down being all bunched up. I do not recommend this, than again for this price I guess you can waste? risk and test it for yourself. I sure would not recommend after trying both. I'll probably give it to my mom to use in home as she has a small foot. Heck... not sure how small/big some of those down filled hoodies/head covers are but those might be better to just cover your foot with. Maybe make your... get a old used damaged down jacket or something cut the arms up, sew it up to length.

Thanks for the feedback, always good to have alternative thoughts…I’m a size 9, they fit perfectly and haven’t experienced the issue with bunching however the ankle is narrow by my legs are thinning down so hasn’t been an issue. I have experienced most Chinese brands being a bit on the smaller size but for me personally these do work, fortunately, as I do buy everything reviewed. Hope you find something that works for you as they are brilliant when winter camping 👍🏻

A bit off topic but 'Fire Maple' are a Chinese camping hardware company that make pots, pans & stoves etc for private label, Alpkit who seam to fly the Union Jack sell Fire Maple made, Alpkit branded equipment. It wouldn't shock me if Rab or Northface have Chinese manufacturers to make their £60 booties for them, it's all about the profit.
@thecampingbiker791
@thecampingbiker791 2 жыл бұрын
Perfectly on topic to be fair as I suspect most stuff is made in China! You can often tell with multiple brands clearly using the same manufacture and a good example of that is coming up soon with a small camping coffee grinder I’ve but as an ‘unbranded’ item but looks suspiciously like other branded versions at 4/5 times the price with logos on!! Anyhow, I do quite like Naturehike and their gear 😃 👍🏻
