I still feel like that sometimes, so much so that I did a one year review video to check on things: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZXFi4l3bc1ji6c. Good luck with your van build!

You're my go to for valuable information, thanks for all the videos! I've got a question, why did you choose carpet rather than ply? I'm converting a large transit and planning to ply board all over, but still interested in other methods. Thank you.

Your videos have been so helpful in our van build here in New Orleans, LA! Can I ask you the brand of thermawrap that you use? Also, what is the thickness of your wall carpet? Thanks again for your series on the NV van build! Truly inspired.

Thanks, glad the videos are useful! Thermawrap is the brand, not sure if they sell it where you are but it's just foil bubblewrap insulation and the carpet is 4mm thick.

I have a question and I can’t find any help on KZbin! But I have a ceiling carpet in my rv, I want to buy very thin ply wood, cut it Into strips and than glue it on the ceiling. But will the glue hold on since it’s carpet? I need help

Just about to start my NV200 VAN So can you tell me why you didn't cover the beams with silver foil as they would be a cold area even though you have filled them with expanding foam
@LensOfJames3 жыл бұрын
I didn't cover the beams with foil insulation because when I slept in the van (before insulating) they didn't gather condensation on their outside, as they are a cavity. However because I was carpeting over them I wanted to fill the cavities to prevent condensation forming inside the beams, hence the spray foam. Good luck with your build!

Can you tell me how much carpet you used to carpet your NV200 Nissan van and where did you buy it from? Thanks, Des

I go though my materials here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGKpg4yqYq6MsKs and I got my carpet from www.vanliningcarpet.co.uk

Great videos, been a super inspiration for my nv200. What was your method for measuring out the ply? Seems a real awkward size/shape
@LensOfJames3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, the centre 2 boards are just rectangles and I made templates for the outer 2 boards, yhen drew them onto the ply and cut them out
@djliamw79253 жыл бұрын
@oliver make it easier for your self and use one larger sheet for the roof maybe?
@LensOfJames3 жыл бұрын
Yes that's what I did, 1 full sheet of ply was plenty for the ceiling

How did you do the electrics? I see you have LEDs in the van ceiling?
@LensOfJames4 жыл бұрын
Hi, I haven't added any electrics to the van at this point, though my next video will be about that. The LED lights are battery powered ones I found on Amazon.
