I didn't romance Aigis. But after seeing the true ending the story is so much neater if you do. She's the only one that has a truly special moment with him after you defeat the final boss, no matter who you romanced. I loved how, just before he died, you can tell the moment she realizes he's dying, but keeps comforting him by talking to him as if he's not. She always talked about how she was just a machine. But in his final moments she protected him in the most human way she possibly could have.

I swore to myself that I would never romance more than one character. I had Yukari as my solid choice for 80% of the game. Then, suddenly, SHE went from 0 to 100 so hard. If I could have broken it off with Yukari I would have, because I can't just say no to Aigis.

I think it has something to do with the Plumes of Dusk Aigis's Papillon Heart is composed of. Just like how Aigis woke up at the end of P3F: The Answer despite her shell being damaged beyond repair iirc. I guess it's a more literal "I think, therefore I am"?

Yeah Aegis basicaly like Marie from P4 she very integrated in Plot and later become protagonist in DLC. And yes you can romance Aegis and other girls including atendant Elisabeth at same time and even have harem basicaly without penalty. But Aegis kinda main girl because no mater what girl you choose or go harem route, or dont choose anyone MC still would die in Aegis lap and she later still inherit his powers. Game later state out of all girls Aegis loved MC the most no mater if MC will choose her or not. But like in same case with Marie MC can date other girls. Aegis wont even be jealous. So MC can date Aegis, Mitsuro and all other girls at same time with zero penalty. But ending always will be same though.

Despite been fan of harem route I must admit Aegis seem main girl of Persona 3 since her love story with MC compliment story more and add alot to hero jounrey in general. For ending of game be more sad and unqiue and more dramatic her romance seem needed. DLC Answear would also have more impact if MC romance Aegis.

Also the game feels like it is nudging towards Aigis no matter whom you choose along the way. Also Aigis is the only girl who calls player/protagonist by his first name (which is very significant in Japanese culture).

Color coded in the similar ways they're either the red head Tsundere girl and a black hair quiet boy or a pink girl and a blue boy who oppose each other but by learning about each other through struggles and relatability they become closer. Especially during og P3's era this kind of romance Anime writing was everywhere. Very classic stuff. 2. What the movies do mean jack crap to me because the only thing people use them for is Aigis ship material when nobody acts like Ken and Shinji's bond are any closer off of some barely accurate to the movies. If I were to do the same I'd be shoving Yukari in the manga in everyone's faces, that would be very delusional. Can people please stop being selective about the movies and get real. 3. Aigis is a robot unrestrained by human connection and morality. For that same reason she can have that rooftop scene and have people debate regardless of it unlike Yukari or any girl in the game who if they did the same the canon ship would be uncontested. But I'm not here to advocate for who's a better pick I just want people to acknowledge that romance is dynamic and a wink wink nudge nudge is not all it takes for a romance to be canon. Chie/Yu is my favorite Persona romance and her the entire point of why her romance works so well is that it hinges on her *not* being the point of focus.
