I've got the same car and agree with your overall take. What I don't care for are the electronic brake engagement system (would much rather the manual hand cable engagement system), the on/off switch for idling, and no temp gauge. There are times when I start the car and I notice a jerk of the steering wheel (maybe the electronic steering system initializing) which can be startling. It doesn't always happen but occasionally. I'm just a guy who likes to keep it simple unless the upgrade is better. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase. Btw, love your videos and happy motoring my friend.

Working at the dealership, I have seen quite a few 22-23 civics come in for a steering concern in which it feels like there is a bubble in the steering wheel when driving straight and it can not be centered properly. The best way I can describe it is if you try to center the steering wheel it feels like when two similar magnets repel each other. They have recently put out an EPS inspection recall (electric power steering) on these civics and it may be worth looking into, if this issue you are describing occurs when the steering is centered.

A video so good I have two comments for you! I have owned a 2022 Si, and now own a 2023 Integra. I'm a fan of having bells whistles and chimes. I think you would actually hate the new Integra, because it tries to be too many things at once. It has many complex components, a nice turbo, it's long and has a sunroof and less head room. I think if I could take anything from your sport and put it in my Integra, it would be that stereo head unit. The Integra has the 9" touch screen and it has telematics. Telematics are evil. I don't want telematics. The wireless CarPlay does not stay connected, so the one "big feature" of the "better" system is flaky and does not work reliably, so I have to have my phone plugged in anyway. This also defeats the purpose of the wireless charger. That wireless charger also stops working the moment you take a corner at basically any speed, because your phone goes flying off of it anyway. A waste of space inside the car's interior. Now I can't toss my keys or anything metal there, and there are very few storage spots inside the car other than the awkwardly-placed cupholders. Still, I wouldn't want to give up the adaptive dampers and the 16 speaker audio system. It's absolutely divine hearing the very high quality music coming out of an Acura. If they offered an Integra base model with a manual, and the upgraded speakers, I would have preferred that. Still, my friends and I all love it about as much as you love your Civic Sport. Thanks again for the great detailed video.

Luckily, I was able to get it for $1K below MSRP. Most Honda dealers around me are still charging $1K and up on markups. I love Honda, but hate the dealership network. Anyhow, I absolutely love the car. It is loads of fun to drive and wind out the engine, the clutch is nice and smooth, and the shifter feels solid and tactile. Here in the UK we only get the Hatchback with the 2.0ltr e-Hev hybrid. Only two models available Sport and Advance. Sport is the same spec as yours but with a hybrid system which people have easily got 84mpg! Around town and 54 mpg combined figures even with a power output of 187bhp. I've gone with the Advance as its got the Bose system, heated steering wheel and seats, sunroof, LED headlights with main beam assist. I've opted for the same colour as you, Sonic grey pearl. Any other colour in the Advance model or anything else added to the options list puts the car into the higher road tax bracket costing an extra £395 for five years after the first year!! So I've bought mine just under the £40,000 tax bracket. £180 per year road tax- a lot better. I'm paying separately for the rear ducktail rear spoiler in black £515 extra and the rubber floor mats £125 like yours too. I can see you've had a Fenylab ceramic coating on your's 👍 I'm thinking about PPF on the front and either a Carpro, Gyeon, Gtechiq or Diamond nano coating with a Bilt Hamber underseal wax called Dynax UC. Delivery date is for Valentines day 🎉. I cannot wait. I was thinking about a Type R but I already have a Toyota GR Yaris which is the same as the GR Corolla but smaller and lighter. My 300E is perfectly fine, I do have a random fear of it breaking. I tried to get another FL5 but the lowest I could find is 4k markup (which isn't terrible, but a markup non the less). I found your exact car a 2024 available near me, and looks like the only manual in the state new. I don't want to get into the payment life again, but it does get double the gas mileage of my 300E, and wont cost anything in maintenance. Makes me wonder if you could order a replacement center console storage compartment lid for the automatic civic, that doesn't have the cut out, and just swap out the cut out one for the other? You'd lose access to the second cup holder but if they were hinged the same way it might work.

@@mikecrisafulli8970 I’m actually asking because some dealers have the sport Touring trim listed as having a remote start, but not just a sport trim by itself. Now I can’t tell you that you can have a remote start on a manual transmission vehicle. I was just curious if they offered it on the base trim or if you had to upgrade to a higher trim.

Love the video! I was hoping for a lower rpm at highway speeds, but considering I had a 2nd gen CR-V that would be at 3k in 5th going 60mph, this is progress. I love my 1st gen Insight that sits around the same in 5th as your Civic does in 6th, but I always have to shift on hills considering the engine is half the size.

I was looking at the 10th Gen Civic Sport Hatchback when it first came out, in Aegean Blue Metallic, but the last version, even the Sport Sedan was much improved. But when the 11th Gen Sport Sedan, and even more when the Hatchback came out, I was extremely pleased. I wanted to get one of these in Boost Blue Pearl, though I like Sonic Grey Pearl, too. But I will probably get the new HR-V Sport in Urban Grey Pearl because it suits me more, and is more practical to carry taller objects if I need it, but I still might get the Sport Hatchback. I think the Sport looks great as is, but the black optional emblems should be included for the Sport, or I would remove the rear hatch Civic and Sport emblems and replace the front, rear and steering wheel H-Mark emblems with the aftermarket JDM style ones, even in different colors than red to match, like blue or black. It's nice that they have the foglight covers, because it still looks nice. You could get aftermarket or OEM lights from the Sport Touring or I think CR-V, or even put cameras, or machine guns. :P JK. The black exterior trim and wheels look great. The top Sport trims typically have some chrome trim like the Sport Touring Hatchback. They should use the smoked chrome like the used on the previous HR-V and Accord Sport. The door window trim kit is available from 3M or one of those companies, but some tint shops and such can do that. The rear diffuser is nice for OEM for the Sport. The rear brake/signal and reverse light bulbs are incandescent, but can be replaced with LED ones from LasFit. I would get legal smoke window tint, legal here in Honolulu, HI. Underhood, I prefer the N/A 2.0L engine for reliability, dependability and longevity. I would put an aftermarket air filter element, but it seems it doesn't need a cold air intake. The car sounds nice when you are driving, going through the gears on the manual. I would get a front strut tower brace, but otherwise leave it stock, except for some dress up parts like the anodized caps and battery hold down. The interior is real nice, but the 10th Gen Sport seat design was nicer. I like how the Sport has just the right equipment for the price point with functional things like the manual adjust seats and such, and no sunroof. Less things to go wrong, and more structural integrity. I agree with you about the door and center console armrest fabric they also use for the Si. The 10th Generation Civic Sports used to have the leatherette there. Of course no rear seat center armrest and cupholders, but no biggie for me, since I usually don't often have rear seat passengers. I can keep a portable power bank and cables if they need to charge their phones. I know the CVT version has bigger cupholders and center console storage, but that's a given. I know, the old style handbrake is preferred, but it is what it is. It's good the auto start/stop light blends in. The HR-V Sport does not even have that. I also wish they kept the map storage pocket behind the left/driver's seat. A common OCD irk. The Pedal Commander may get better throttle response control, but maybe more on the CVT than the 6 Speed. The OEM stereos are generally much better sounding than systems long ago, but can be upgraded with aftermarket speakers and amps later. I would probably get a Rockford Fosgate Punch Series 4 Channel 400 watt amp and factory location speakers, and not need a subwoofer unless I really wanted that extra bass. As far as the head unit, I agree with you. With some minor dislikes, it serves the purpose. Other than that, it would be pretty nice with the preferred OEM accessories, like the weather mats and cargo tray, along with the rear seat back protectors, which is good to have, wheel locks and such. I would add a good dashcam, but that's all I can think of for now. 👍

@@NAUS2K I really like the new Subaru Impreza RS, but some people said previous models are having problems with the glitchy infotainment display. Then there is the AWD issue about having to get 4 new tires if you have a flat you can't fix and tires are older. You can resell them, but that's still an extra expense. Having metal chains instead of belts for the CVT is pretty nice, and Subarus and Mazdas are more reliable now, but you can't beat Honda/Acura and Toyota/Lexus. Especially, more reliable models with N/A engines like the Civic, New HR-V, Corolla and Camry. Btw-Have you seen my good friend, Jason Miller's KZbin channel, 717 Project? He has a black SE 10th Generation Type R, and his very popular Aegean Blue Metallic 11th Generation Civic Sport Sedan ha calls Blue. It is probably one of the nicest and most modified and customized Civic like that. He has gone through so many changes and DIY videos, some Sedan specific, but a lot could apply to the hatchback, too. I'm older, and was raised with GM performance cars. I had a 1984 Buick Grand National, a silver 2000 Chevy Impala LS Trunk Monkey Edition, and a 2006 Impala SS with Flowmaster Exhaust. I almost could have had a mint condition 1996 Black Impala SS with Flowmaster Exhaust or a 2000 Black Tahoe Limited, but didn't want something that big. I'm former law enforcement, and an enthusiast, but older and not so diehard now, since I have other things I am busy with. I just want a nice sporty practical daily driver, but if I had the money, time, energy, place to keep a real nice car, and would be driving it a lot, I would love to have an Apex Blue Pearl Integra Type S or A-Spec Technology Package, though I really don't like the 1.5L turbo, though I wouldn't be thrashing it on the latter, but want the ELS stereo.

I probably am going with the multi point version MT they say it is a 30 year 300,000 mile car. A pure commuter car for me. I will miss no fog lights and no power seats. But the time has arrived for me to make a move on this before they eliminate the 158 hp sport trim version. I am going with the HPD package with black badging as it will ensure it is my unique build.

I just snagged a '24 EX-L hatchback. I generally like it so far, especially the color (meteorite gray metallic). Not too many issues to complain about. I'm 6'1 and feel like I have enough room inside, even with the sunroof (which was basically a need for me lol). The only things that kind of annoy me so far is the lack of Sirius, not having a lock for the glove compartment, and getting in/out of this car is not all that easy (though I'm coming from a Wrangler, so that's to be expected and maybe I'll adjust to it). I also agree on the exterior design. I liked the 10th gen, but I think I prefer the 11th gen styling. It just has a classic, yet practical design quality to it.

The way I see this car now is that this might be the most Rawest Civic a car enthusiast can get without the Type R looks and price and features, same goes for the Si. This Civic reminds me of the Honda Civics of the late 90s, maybe alost the Civic Sis of the late 2000s to 2010s. Its as basic as it can be and the owner can mod it like you they want it, just like the older Civics. I am already imagining the potential of this car, whether its for daily commute, spirited runs or racing, the basis of this model is there to be taken advantage of and make it unique. K20C2? Not a Type R engine but possibly can reach similar numbers with custom parts. Handling like a Type R? probably not but thats the fun part about us enthusiasts and trying out different suspension set ups. I have a 2021 Honda Accord 2.0T Sport and I love it but I do miss the manual transmission. IDK but this car just made me re-think my car priorities lol.
