@@Sunni_days I'm not sure yet, it's a toss up. I like the simpler installation of this but would be nice to have the e tra pumps and I think my cost is pretty close to the same if I do it myself.

@@SupremeSurfers On this specific boat they wanted to get rid of their lead wake and just use water weight. However, they said the wave was really good. They used the boat right after I installed 🌊.

Part of my hesitation is the integration with the stock computer. Could you do a quick video on how the new bags work with the computer, and how and when to manually fill and manually drain? Does it still "drain all" and stop when they're actually empty like when you go "back to dock"?

Hey Blake - I think your video is awesome and I think this upgrade is an absolute “no brainer” for a Nautique owner/ boarder / surfer. Fill up some unusable space with pumped in ballast- dah??!! I’m impressed with the quality and engineering of the Swell package. Out of curiosity, for owners who want to get the package and have someone install, what do you think is reasonable estimate for tech install- in terms of hours? PS - if you’re ever near Columbia SC, come ride my Ri245 and see what you think.

Thank you 🙏!! Yes, I think it’s an obvious upgrade! Swell did a great job with this kit. Based off my experience, the install should be 2-3 hours. So, those hours times the local shop rate. I would assume total it would be $200-$500 to have someone install it for you. Thanks for the invite, we shall see what travel this next year will bring 👀.

Hey Blake… we Accually got the same brand of ballast bags for our super air Nautique 210 and it was totally worth it. The wake gets so much bigger and I don’t get why Nautique doesn’t make the ballast bags bigger stock like Malibu does. Do you know why?

Great info!! I don't know the actual reason, but I assume that it has to do with the capacity of the boat. Each manufacturer has to stay within specific parameters to obtain the capacity placard on their boats (14 person, etc). With added ballast, the person capacity would drop, but you as a boat owner can take on that responsibility when you do it! I'm glad that your wave got way better!

What kit is this? Looks to me it’s a 21+ kit but does it work for a older g23 like in the video

Thanks for the question. The G23 used in the video was a 2021. On the swell website it says it is for 21+ G23 and G23. It is also compatible with a 2020 Paragon. If you want to poke around your boat, there should be enough information in this video to determine if you can make it work on your G23 or G25. You will have to check and see if your boat has the compartment for the extra ballast.
