I just love this couple. I think it is great that Victoria described Rico's many talents. While accomplished, his list of experiences demonstrates that an every day couple has worked hard and developed a privileged lifestyle out of modest roots. They have become KZbin celebrities and soon will be running a charter business on their own 75 foot superyacht. Well done Nautistyles!

Their new yacht is now going to be called an 82, because of customer feedback. Bering yacht customers felt that Bering yachts are so wide and deep that a 75’ Bering is the equivalent of a normal 82’ yacht, an 80’ Bering is like a normal 88’ yacht etc. So they’re changing their yacht descriptions so new customers pick the size that meets their size expectations

I was never a fan of catamaran boats, until I watched you two on one in the Bahamas or wherever you were at and made that video showing all the space on it. Plus if i had one, id like to have my little boat under the floor between the two pontoons and have a door to open up to get boat then lower it into the water. Oh yeah, I am one of those ornery old guys. So when you guys were downstairs in the master, in the bathroom opening up the cabinets to where you can see underneath the helm, if you had all the lights turned off and somebody open that upper cabinet and you grab their arm and then you started barking like a vicious dog you would scare them so good that they would probably crap themselves. An when you think about it that would be so funny, that would be a heck of a joke to play on somebody right. I'm just saying it was just an idea. I get those types of ideas several times a day. Love you guys.

The "Steering Wheel Spinner Knob" was invented by Joel R. Thorp of Wisconsin in 1936. The Brodie name is a reference to Steve Brodie and was meant to describe all manner of reckless stunts. The device is often called a "suicide knob" because of being notoriously useless for controlling the wheel during an emergency. Yes, Rico is multi talented, but most of all I want to know how he managed to hook a georgious bride.

I put a knob on my riding mower so I could use my other hand to hold my drink while mowing. It helps a lot to have a knob on a riding mower when going around things like trees an flowers.
@Spud_Muffin9 ай бұрын
I'll add, useless because back in the day they had big steering wheels and in an emergency trying to steer quickly, the knob would get caught on things (clothing, or a body part, etc) causing an accident.

I recall the Suicide knob being called that because of the tendency for your shirt or especially coat sleeve to catch on it and steering you into oncoming traffic. There often was not power steering and it gave you some leverage to turn a big wheel giving you something hefty to grip, rather than a thin wheel. I remember my first time behind the wheel of a vehicle was my buddie’s 60’s VW bus with flat steering wheel with suicide knob, and a 30” skinny stick shift on the floor, and boy did it have a lot of throw between gears. Haha, was not the right vehicle to try to learn to drive. But the suicide knob was easy to catch on your clothing because the wheel was flat.

The device is often called a "suicide knob" because, in a colision, the drivers chest may be pierced by the knob. It is also called a "knuckle buster" because of the disadvantage posed by the knob when letting go of the steering wheel after going around a corner, the wheel spins rapidly and the knob can hit the drivers hand
