Nice video Dave! Just one thing to point out: Nautitech 44 open is also architected by Marc Lombard :)

Thanks for another great video Dave! we can't get around the lack of interior living room. Fit and finish looked nice, but i want more lounge space inside / outside and its too segregated. Also, the only way i would consider a boat with outboard helm stations is if they have a really well laid out interior helm station (with proper chair!). Even Sailing Great Circle said that when they are on passage 95% of the steering is done from remote / inboard helm station.

Thank Mike. Yes, when you go below 46’ the living space suffers and I really can’t imagine convincing Sylvia to go anywhere like that. Re helm positions…look at the HH52. It’s PERFECT!! A forward helm with interior access to the bow and two aft tiller stations with the coolest chairs on the market that have your but hanging over the side almost as radically as the ORCs. Now… if I could just afford one!!

Since you're in the under 45 category, probably it'll be time to review the new Seawind soon.

Thanks so much for watching and commenting!! I would love to but hull#1 has not yet splashed. The first one was sold by the Seattle dealer, just south of us, but it will be delivered to Florida. I’ll have to wait for the premier at a boat show. Thanks for watching!!!

Hi David, love all your little improvement ideas you throw into these reviews. The only thing is all of them are mechanical systems that add complexity and "another thing to break" on the boat. A good rule of thumb is if the useful life of an item that would be installed into your home on land is 5-7 years, on a boat sailing the oceans of the world consider yourself lucky if it lasts more than a year before needing repaired/replaced. There is definitely something to be said for keeping a voyaging catamaran simple, so you spend more time enjoying the beautiful designations you'll be visiting!

Hey Kirk! Thanks for the comment. Totally agree with your point. Having said that, many of the items are taken from the adventure trawler community where durability is king. As an outsider I have noticed almost a Chinese wall between the power and sail communities on many fronts. Let’s see if we can punch a hole or two through that wall where it makes sense. Lol. Thanks again for watching and for you always thoughtful comments.

@@navalgazingatcampdavid Totally agree, keep the ideas coming! One thing to keep in mind though is that in the trawler community they don't care one bit about saving weight, were as with performance catamarans every pound matters. Cheers!
