I got back into this game about three months ago and a lot has changed since the early access and beta versions. Things are much better since then and a lot of new stuff has been introduced to the game. I am glad that the devs have kept the PVE server open, to give players the option of playing the game without being attacked by other players, especially when trading, which I do quite a lot of. If I fancy a bit of action, there are plenty of opportunities to do so, by entering battles or taking on enemy NPC vessels, so all in all PVE is just as good if you prefer to sail as a solo player. I have never been a lover of mutiplayer, which the PVP server is aimed at and as far as joining a clan is concerned, it's not for me to be honest. I am not knocking those who prefer to use the PVP server, which is mainly aimed at warfare, rather than peaceful trading. It's everyone to their own preference of play, which is what I like about Naval Action. I have recently built up a good Trading ship fleet of 3 Indiaman's and 4 Trading Brigs for use in shallow water regions. I have several ports scattered around the map, to allow me to trade in different areas, which give more scope for finding various comodities. I have managed to collect so far 23 sealed bottles whilst fishing, which is a must have when doing a lot of trading, and the fish alone have given me a good reward in reals when converted to provisions for sale at ports, some of which can sell for high prices compared to others. I have managed to build a shipyard at my home port of Kingston Port Royal and have it upgraded to level 3 which allows me to build almost any ship I like, once having obtained the amount of materials needed to build it and the required permit from the Admiralty for certain ships. Yes I have captured a few NPC ships and gained some goods as well as made money buy selling the captured ships, or breaking them for supplies. So all in all I am really enjoying this game and not having to worry about loosing my ships by people who just seem to get pleasure ganking othe players on the PVP server. I have purchased a few DLCs to give me a few more options and that is Admiralty Connections which gives me more warehouse and dock space, plus more buildings and the Painter DLC, which enables me to change the paint scheme on all my ships or ships that I have crafted for auction, which brings a little more enjoyment and builds on my trading empire. So you can have lots of fun on the PVE server, and still get into the action if you want to with the peace of mind that you can trade as well without fear of being attacked every time you set sail.

Thank you for this! Most of the information out there on this game is focused on combat, which is cool and all but not what I'm after. There are tons of combat-based sailing games, games with non-combat content along with the strong PvP action are much more interesting to me. Can't very well have pirates without traders, eh?

This game has a good balance. If you want to PvP, you can, but you can still craft/trade if you want to focus on that! Your trading ships will get attacked, so you just have to time your trips well and pay attention to the ships around you.

There is a non pvp server the pve server - there you dont have pvp at all and optional pve fights or trade in peace.

@@Lone_GamerUK That's just it, trading in peace is too boring! I want to trade where the stakes are high! Anyone can outrun a NPC pirate, PvP is where the fun lies.

@@marthdaeglin ok you post sounded like you didn’t want pvp - but either way you have the choice 👍

Given the recent changes in the game, is it possible to play the game as a single player in PvE servers, mainly for trading, in August 2022?

This isn’t really related to the video, but do you know how much the USS constitution coasts in the game?

Yeah I think it depends on what wood you want it built out of, if it is a captured NPC ship or if it’s crafted, etc. So a range of $400k reals on the low end to 1million on the very high end? That is just guessing without actually looking at them.

I think another key for it is the left shift key. Does that work? If not you should be able to change keybinds in the options menu.

So I’m a new player playing as the British and are given economy missions to other countries ports and of course I go there thinking I must be able to deliver it and find I can’t. What’s up with that and how can I carry out those missions
@MichaelSharp667
@MichaelSharp667 4 жыл бұрын
You will need to make sure that you have a trading ship in order to enter enemy ports. Warships and basic cutters are not allowed in enemy ports. So you’ll want a Traders Lynx, Traders Cutter, Traders Brig, Traders Snow, Le Gros Ventre, or Indiaman.
