Spotted this game earlier today and after looking into it more, the battle strategy, gameplay, how atmospheric the seamanship is.. Just bought it (ironically just as it went on sale) and have to thankyou yourself, other community video makers and streamers as well as the subreddit swabbies. Looking forward to playing and seeing what else the game becomes over the coming years. Fair winds o7

Thank you so much for the praise and I am so glad you bought the game. Your experience is precisely why I started making these videos and I am so glad that I had a small part in you choosing to get the game. I hope that you enjoy it and if you need anything, let me know! Fair winds mate! o7

Have they now reduced the BR needed to take a port, I noticed (on PvE) that it is 900 BR for shallow docks and 5700 BR for deep water docks.

Please up date this subject now that it has been a year. It seems to me that the game is headed to being occupied only by One or maybe two to three realms/Clans based on your video from November 2019. Even you yourself have gone from being is other realms to joining the russians in the end.

Yes, there are several videos I need to look into updating or re-releasing. This is definitely one of them! Thank you! o7

II was really thinking of getting into this game. but the more I am hearing about it and the Russian Gankers it reminds me of War Thunder and I already have to deal with them in that game so I am not sure I want to invest time and money into another game made for Russian cheaters to grandiose their egos.

Nah mate. There is definitely an aspect of the game where you have elite players (not only in Russia) who prey upon new/developing players. This is true. But that is true in many games. If you are on the fence about it, perhaps a good option for you is to wait for the game to go on Steam sale (it on sale multiple times a year) and then try your hand on the PvE server first to get the hang of sailing, simple tactics, etc before venturing to the PvP server. This will allow you to learn about the game and enjoy some sailing without needing to worry about being killed right away as you learn. That is my suggestion to you. It really is a one of a kind game. There currently isn't another Age of Sail game like it on the market, and so that is what attracts a lot of the players to it.

@@MichaelSharp667 Sorry you missed what i was saying are didn't get the point. The RVR in Naval Action is a drastically in need of a rework in the system if on nation side can come in and completely Dominate the game like the Russians have> They controlled 113 ports at the time of this Video twice as many as any other Realm other than Britain which had 70. There is some 350 Ports? Maybe the Realms/Factions with Low player bases (small amounts of Ports) can get a XP and Riall bonus based on the % difference between them and the Top Realm as a balancing incentive to keep playing and not all join in the One dominate Realm/Guild(like Dark Age of Camelot). Because like I said what flag was it you started to sail under and what flag do you sail under now? Why was it you swithced to the REDS when you don't seem to be russian?
