Super. I have been travelling to my native in this train. It skipped coimbatore for nearly 30 years before going via coimbatore again. Yes it has many stops in kerala. Trip was V nicely captured.

Before 2000 it ran through coimbatore. Due to some works at CBE it ran through Podanur Irugur bypass.. after 2011 it was again rerouted via CBE.

Super excellent coverage Naveen Kumar. I have travelled many times by this train for going to Guruvayur. Upto Palakkad Jn many short distance passengers would have travelled in Sleeper Class Coaches. Happy that this train has got Avadi station Halt and you could get down comfortably in this station for going to your House. Allapuzha Exp is another famous train like Sanghamitra Exp. Allapuzha Express is a old aged coaches train in southern railway operating from allapuzha to chennai.

In 2007 itself, this train was pulled by WAP7, not sure why this reduction to WAP 4. Also this is like a daily EMU from allepey to palghat. Only after palakad, it picks up speed. In 2007 to 2010, the veg meals at palakad used to be very tasty..
