Nave, have you considered making yourself a farm pack? Think about the things that you should have with you at all times on the farm and make a little pack that you can keep at the entrance and grab when you walk out the door. I have an old backpack but a small over-the-shoulder or fanny pack could also work. Earplugs are a great start, probably a pocket knife would be handy, maybe a pair of Pit Vipers, gloves, a battery recharger in case a camera dies. Also, I resolved my poor shoe selection by putting all of my nice shoes in containers under my bed and only farm shoes by the door. By limiting my selection at the door, and making it harder to wear my good shoes, I automatically wear the correct shoe every day. Maybe it can work for you too. Great job on the garden spot!

When I went to see how she was doing, I found her in the middle of this "pattern" she'd made in about a half-acre of yard. At least she was happy with it.

Nave, put up some hooks or similar on the wall above the shoe rack in the entrance. Then you can hang sets of earmuffs so they're quick and easy to grab. Earmuffs are a bit less hassle to put on and can provide a LOT more hearing protection than earplugs, and if you're wearing earbuds while working, you can usually hear your audio without having to turn it up. You can also keep a set of muffs hanging in the equipment cab, but that's an easy way to wind up with a spider in your ear!

Nave, if you get the auger used to dig the cremated remains, you can . dig the place you wan to the post, then fill with dirt to keep it upright. Beats using a post pounder, especially if you were to hit a rock. You can tell us, that was Cole using the tree as a outdoor bathroom. Lots of those pictures around that are perfectly innocent. Your dental surgeon gave you a script for pain killers and an antibiotic. The biggest mistake people make is not taking the meds prescribed. IMO, the pain meds for dental procedures don't do as much to relieve pain (they numb the pain, but it's still there), but allow you to sleep, which is good for you.
