Just needs to look somewhat like the picture in the AliExpress listing. If you expect them to come ready to use you'll be very disappointed. Ran a 'premium' Chinese wheel loader for a bit; the roll pin that held the quick change cylinder in place disintegrated within the first 50 hours. Rust bleeding from everywhere, Ray Charles did the welds with his hands on his feet. It would try to fold itself in half if you ever went full lock. I'll take a 30 year old quality machine that needs an overhaul over a brand new chingalingdindong if price point is the same.

From a lot of what I've seen with these very small, very cheap (although not from importers) bits of equipment, you're basically buying the equivalent of an exceedingly small and heavily used car to restore as a hobby project. It needs to have pretty much every attachment point or bracket inspected and tightened, spots of rust painted over, welds looked at concerningly then left as-is, etc. But then after all that, after investing half-again what you bought it for, you feel proud about making it work great for the use cases it's actually good at. Or somebody pushes one like they expect it to be a piece of full-sized equipment ready to work right off the lot, then get mad when it doesn't perform like something that costs ten times as much used. I'm glad you approached this like something to fix up, then managed to flip it for at least the work you put in on top of what you paid.

That’s a tough call, honestly the older compact tractors are probably a more durable option. These Chinese machines are not built very well. Some large importers will have the machines shipped in various states of assembly to maximize shipping volume. Pre covιd a contact cost about 10k to ship to the US and during the shit down it was as much as 30k a container. Actually one of many reasons for inflation since Americans import 90% of the stuff we own or 99% of t the r stuff we own has done fork of imported components. 3x shipping plus add tariffs at the same moment in time was disastrous. Importer often get these in different levels of assembly then half a_ś them together. No fluids is common. Many freighters have them drain the fluids, but not all. They don’t worry about the small Motors. That oil is the oil from the engine mfg. when you get a Chinese engine or generator they come with oil. Same fir the factory that built these. They have much better machines. These are built for use in China to be affordable domestically and throughout the region. People forget this machine is likely no more then $700 in China. The people in china benefit from extremely cheap and competitive prices as a result of being the new manufacturing empire.

Another trick you can do for stability is to liquid ballast the tires 23x8.50-12adds approximately 65-75lbs per tire filling just the rear tires can reduce the forward tipping drastically, also filling the steer tires adds improved bucket downpressure and because the weight is at the ground it makes the machine much more stable side to side as well.
@AbramsExcavating2 ай бұрын

@dodgeme1986truck2 ай бұрын
@@AbramsExcavating with liquid ballast they will be less likely to loose air pressure... Those are tubeless skid steer tires if the valve stems were to fail (often have tubes in them from the factory) you can remove the tubes if equipped (although it is preferred to keep or install tubes when liquid ballasting they aren't required) and put in better quality bolt in metal valve stems. If you still want to keep the tubes you can get heavy duty tubes as well (factory tubes are pretty thin and have flimsy valve stems) although if worried about the valve stem cores you can replace just the cores and they do make a tool available for under $10 that can clean up the valve stem (kinda looks like a micro tire cross) one leg is a core tool, directly opposite is the valve stem external thread chase, then on one of the cross legs there is a straight thread chase for the valve stem internal threads for the valve core directly opposite is the core seat ream used to gently clean the core seal seat of any burs or corrosion... Rotate the valves so they are up at the highest point. Remove core. Fill with antifreeze and tire Slime to the valve level. Will be about 75% of the volume of the tire. Pricey over plain water, but 100% better on tubeless than having your rims rot out when a tube on the inside leaks and you used something else like a saturated brine.

The throttle cable is still pulling at an angle. The whole machine wants to be taken apart and greased as they assemble most of them dry. Also locknuts or locking fluid on bolts. The panels such as steps can be removed and welded along the joints to strengthen them. Most of the panels can be strengthened. The machine will be a lot better, quieter and last a lot longer. Finally, paint and a counterweight.

for the 2k price, I would buy one to replace my chinese snowblower, and yeah, it also came partially assembled, I mean everything was there, barely fastened, so I repaced a lot of nuts with nylock's, and some bolts I locktited. Doesn't matter, it broke, and now everything is rusted solid, they don't use grease when mounting stuff that is supposed to come off either.

I would ditch the clutch set up and drive the transmission with a hydraulic motor, rig a self centring foot control valve for forward and reverse, upgrade the pump or add another hydraulic pump and reservoir.

Yea converted to a hydro drive would be pretty slick. Honestly though if the clutch doesn’t explode and wears nicely it’s not bad being a manual transmission.

@f.hababorbitz2 ай бұрын
I just purchased one at online auction Wed, $2400 but with fees and tax $2808 (there were 3 at this auction, the one I originally picked went for $3400). It needs a roll bar mod, to make a structure for the operator seat, that has hinged doors. The engine is rated 25-27HP, but clearly there's some import EPA regulations for engines over 13HP. Simple fix, just put a plate that say's 13HP. So try to change the filter. Hidden on the top of the engine, and you can't remove the plastic top filter screw (large 3"), if you did get that loose, you can't lift the filter cover off. I removed the engine switch and oil level box from the side of the engine, and seems a new seat support this could be mounted up where it's usable. I think this machine was an engineering project to design using CAD, and some list of available parts. I was surprised to see a real transmission vs the normal hydraulic everything of the mini excavator, track loader, which all seem to be log splitter projects to teach students CAD skills. I think if you drive the bucket into something that pushes it hard sideways, all that front loader arm steel will bend. It needs to have more iron welded on.
@AbramsExcavating2 ай бұрын
Yea it’s definitely not a well designed machine. There are more flaws in it than I even showed. It is decent for the money once you fix some things. But you can’t expect much for a few thousand bucks!
@f.hababorbitz2 ай бұрын
@@AbramsExcavating This is a true pre-assembled kit that required engineering test to find all the weak links. I think they scaled down a huge 5 yard payloader of just this kind with the articulating steering joint. Seeing you drive at high speeds into the pile and fill the .45cubic meter bucket. It might survive a bit, but I would not let anyone use mine, as slight abuse will result in major repair effort. The transmission seems tough enough, don't know about the clutch for long term use. I wonder what the intent of that 3rd pulley V groove off the driven transmission input was intended for. The axles, I wonder what they are really rated at, seems these could be used in a 1/2 ton truck. Really depends on the that shaft diameter and ball bearings behind the hubs. I'll have to try to pull the rear apart to see the quality of the brake cam mechanism, as the clutch cam mechanism is probably the same principle mechanical implementation. They put in a jack screw for the hydro pump (tracing the output goes direct to the steering valve, and the dump of that feeds the main hydro bucket pressure input. I wonder how they filled the steering internal cylinders and the hose so there's no big bubbles left (another thing to fix). I was expecting to see an engine jack screw for the belt tension. It is darn tight from the factory. So far I've been finding all the bolts tightened with overtorque set power tools, some have thread distortion damage. Your machine is exactly the same as mine except the rear flashing turn lights. And same with the crazy useless dash key and ammeter. I bet the ammeter was never the intent, but the cheapest thing to put there as a decoy to any buyers that think gauge is quality (it normally is :D). I'm just a homeowner so this machine was bought for snow removal, and very light crushed limestone driveway work. My wife say's I need to get rid of the 1972 Hydromac 8a (Gehl 2500) skid loader I rebuilt 35 years ago. We shall see this winter if this is more maneuverable. I was thinking a better place for added weight is to have a tire shop that does big tractor tires on bucket excavators, fill them with beet juice (water with sugar to prevent freezing, vs salt that when it leaks, you MUST fix it). That puts the weight on the tread of the tires, and should give good traction. It would be nice if all the gearing was shifted down by 2:1 or maybe 3:1 of engine to current transmission input. Lastly, when the clutch pedal is fully up, shouldn't the throw out ball bearing race that contacts the 3 rocker dogs, have just maybe a thousands of clearance so there's no loading of the bearing and the clutch spring is fully pushing the clutch closed? You appear to have it adjusted, was that part of the technique when you adjusted the 3 rocker adjusters? I see you have killer big machines all around your property, this had to be purchased purely for the fun of it. So was mine. I like fixing broken stuff, it's been my hobby for over 60 years. And I know when to scrap junk, not there yet. I did download a manual for the engine. Rato R740 and full maintenance manual in English. 51 pages.
@AbramsExcavating2 ай бұрын
@ yea this machine has a lot of room for improvement. The basics are there but it’s just very poorly engineered and put together. I did just buy this machine purely for fun. I enjoy tinkering with stuff and these Chinese machines generally bring a good amount of attention on KZbin. I have a full scale excavation business so I’ve got plenty of “real” toys. For the clutch, you are Correct. However this was so poorly engineered that the linkage didn’t actually allow me to get the couple thousands free play between the T/O bearing and the fingers. I got it to where it grabs good and releases fully. Figure it would last for a good while if you don’t abuse it. I would never buy this machine to make money. But if I wanted to tinker on the property or move snow in my driveway it would be perfect! Thanks for watching and sorry if I missed a few of your questions!

@@AbramsExcavating I'm looking for ways to fix the maintainability problems, and maybe get a safety rollbar out of it. I did buy a cheap mini-excavator L12, so I think it's the 900kg model, it is a log splitter copy of the Kubota smaller equipment, but for the money they did good. I got mine last fall after the EPA killed all the diesel imported units, so mine is gasoline. Also got a mini dumper, I have a 300 ft driveway to make to the rear of the property, and there's no access to anything larger then a 3/4 ton pickup with a 5yard dump trailer to get crushed rock down. Here in Iowa, it's all limestone just below the clay and sand surface earth. I have multiple repair projects on the house foundation and a 277 ft trench for electric power to dig. I was going to do it a few months ago, but drought hit, and the ground is rock hard for my excavator to break it, and all I would do is damage it. I paid 2x for it vs auction buying, eBay seller $6200. But now I know. But I probably have enough equipment for the rest of my life.............Thanks for the video. It was helpful on the clutch. Think a simple riser under the main seat to frame mount, is what I'm thinking. 3-4 inches should not make the operator center of gravity to much more tipsy sideways.
