Easy to follow instructions, I'm well versed in Logic, Pro Tools and FL studio, just recently purchased Studio one Professional to give it a shot. I like it. This guy is my first go to instructor for Studio One. I like the DAW so far. Some nice features, like drag and drop is somewhat easier than other daws.

Studio one is great with all these little gems to make the workflow easier and faster, without having them over complicating things, while learning. These tutorials are also really Top level and actually something that makes switching to this DAW an even easier decision. Just switched to S1 + faderport 16 from 15 years in FL on the release of S1 v5 and couldn't be happier about my choice. Keep up the awesome work on making producing music fun and without too many issues! 🙏

These episodes about Studio One with Gregor are the real masterpiece..... I moved from FL Studio 20 to Studio One 5,5 and the professional sound quality is amazing, these videos are very helpful with getting used to new environment. Many thanks. (Noticed that in Studio One 6 the sound and mixing is a bit better but the KICK is more castrated from the bass and in general bass is thinner. (I made comparison mixdowns) That is why I stayed with Studio One ver 5,5

Hello Gregor, great tips you give for Studioone, already helped me a lot ! Iàm missing one thing in Studioone : Is there a transport function ( preroll ) simular to that in cubase, where you can activate preroll during playback ( not recording only ), and no matter where you are in the song when you stop playback, you move back bars when starting plyback again, ( the number of bars you can adjust in the preroll settings ), ? Seeting the marker in Studioone is too workintensive.

Hey Gregor, awesome video again. A quick Q though - maybe I missed something, but is there a command similar to "Play from Loop Start", but "Play from Session Start" or "Play from Start Marker" instead? You explained the option "Return to Start on Stop", but for that you have to 1) enable it first 2) hit stop and 3) hit play. Just wondering if there's a dedicated command for Play from Start. Thanks! Hello Gregor, fantastic video as usual. Actually this one and the "zoom like a boss" video are extremely useful. Good job. I know this is not the perfect place for it, but maybe I can start a discussion. There is one feature that I am missing which I always used in Samplitude. Maybe they have a patent on this feature? I don't know. It's about exporting a song. At the moment my StudioOne 4 has the following four options. LoopRange, and 3 different options for MarkerRanges. What I am missing is a smart range. In Samplitude you can have from the beginning til last sample. I think in general that it should be possible to simply detect where the first and last samples are and then maybe add a user defined time to the beginning and end. For example 500ms at the beginning before the first sample, and 2000ms after the last sample. What is your opinion? I still love this feature from Samplitude as I don't have to set or shift markers. Of course there could be problems like noise that maybe could be handled with a threshold level. But of course you still have the other 4 already existing ways of exporting which always work. But I think in more than 90% of the cases a smart export range should work without problems. I would love to hear from you. Thank you Marco
