Thank you so much for this fantastic tutorial! 🌟 Your clear instructions and helpful tips made navigating BrickLink a breeze. I appreciate you taking time to teach potential competition to your store on how to do this stuff. I have been nervous about starting a store because I am worried about people trying to complain to PayPal that order was wrong even if it was right, and then have PayPal refund them and lose money and items. Have you had any experiences like this?
@JustABrickInTheBucket3 жыл бұрын
It does happen occasionally. PayPal can be pretty inconsistent when it comes to resolving disputes. It is still very rare though. We have only had a few claims ever happen, the vast majority of Bricklink buyers are extremely polite, even when an order is ACTUALLY wrong most people will just send a very polite email. I wouldn't let this stop you.

You've made bricklink look easy.! Maybe its the brief, succinct messaging. I've been using these tutorials step by step to get started. Just added fig inventory with custom images..stoked! Not confident with adding extra images, if you've covered that can you let me know which one to watch.? Again... thankyou.

Hi Squirtle Studios! Thanks for checking out my channel! Brickitect is amazing! This was probably one of the more boring videos to watch unless you are a BrickLink seller, but I definitely have some other ones that are more entertaining to LEGO fans! Thanks for the sub!

Hi I'm just starting a store! Im curious how you apply a charge for minimum buys without the "minimum buy" option being selected? For example if you want it to be $5 and they only spend $3, how do you get it to automatically charge the $5 instead?

When I checked other stories to get the idea, I see there are so many versions of the terms and conditions. Some of them are very detailed, some of them are as simple as possible. We are about to open our own store in Brick link, we are based in Berlin, we don't know where to start and how to find out which is the best appropriate set of terms and conditions that we need to use. Any lead will be appreciated.

Honestly a lot of it is situational based on how protected you want to be and how you want to run your store. Generally I would make sure you explain a return policy, a quality guide, shipping and handling time, and stuff like that. Just make sure that anything you feel a customer may take issue with is clearly stated.
@JustABrickInTheBucket3 жыл бұрын
Hi Esra! I would say you do not need overly-complicated terms. Just a basic summary of what you use to ship, how much shipping is, what condition pieces are in for your store, any returns you allow or not, payment methods you accept, and anything else you think you want customers to know. It's more of a place for the seller to let the customers know anything they need to know prior to placing an order. Hopefully that helps! Thank you for following along!

Another great and helpful vid; quick question if I use wish lists on BL and make a purchase from a seller buying items on my wishlist are the items removed from the wishlist or do you have to remove the items manually?
@JustABrickInTheBucket4 жыл бұрын
Hi cbadcali! I answered your question in a How To: Use BrickLink Wanted Lists video, but to answer it here: There is a small button that says "Apply Order" on the top right of the wanted list page. You can then select your past order(s) and apply them to the wanted list which automatically marks them as "Have" in the wanted list. I hope that helps! Thank you for watching!

Hi guys I just watched this video and was curious about the item you checked "show last sold date". I have this checked but can not see it on my page anywhere when I go into my inventory? Can you help me find it. Cheers
@JustABrickInTheBucket4 жыл бұрын
Hi Peter, Unfortunately as far as I know, it does not show up in your inventory, but only on the downloaded inventory you can download at the bottom of the inventory page. If you click this download button and download as a CSV, you can open it in any spreadsheet software and a column will be added that says: Date Last Sold. I wish you could see it on BrickLink itself, but as far as I know, you cannot. I'll let you know if I find a change in this though. Thanks for watching Peter!

Love these videos! It's making me want to start my own store. One quick question.. did you use a business or personal PayPal for your bricklink store?
@JustABrickInTheBucket4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Dakota! We use a PayPal business account for our BrickLink store. We keep all our personal accounts separate from the business. Thanks for watching! I'd recommend starting a store! I find it extremely fun. They key is just understanding the time commitment needed for parting out, packing orders, and tracking expenses and income.

@@JustABrickInTheBucket Thanks for such a quick reply! I was wondering because it asks for the legal business name.. does that mean you have to set up an incorporated business or did you just put the BrickLink name?
@JustABrickInTheBucket4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I do not know if you need to be a legal business. When we first started, I had it all going through my personal PayPal until we created the business. We then switched it over to a new PayPal business account. You may be able to contact PayPal and as the question. They will probably be able to clarify. Sorry for the lack of a solid answer.

@@JustABrickInTheBucket No worries. I don't expect you to be a legal expert. Thanks for the insight! :)

Very helpful. One question: why do you only accept paypal?
@JustABrickInTheBucket2 жыл бұрын
We use PayPal to manage our shipping. We do plan to eventually expand to accept other methods of payment but for now having it all located in one interface saves us quite a bit of time.

These videos are very helpful! The problem is the video’s to long... It’s hard for me to find the information I need in a 25+ minute video.
@JustABrickInTheBucket4 жыл бұрын
Hi again Nicolas! I agree. I am going to work to make these shorter... around 10-15 minutes hopefully, as well as put time stamps in the description so people can click through and find parts they want. Thank you for the feedback!
