Aww thank you, Woolhampton is definitely a tricky one and it shoves you along quickly, shame we didn’t film, Richard looked like Clarkson doing a side drift around the corner to the swing bridge 🤣 And you’re right that lock is heavy!

I guess the amount of rain is making everything grow twice as fast - and in many instances the town or city that a river/canal goes through is responsible for maintenance of the towpath and verges.

@@jillosler9353you are probably right there! The CRT is responsible for the towpath side but often the opposite bank is private land so yes there’s no control over maintaining that side as it’s down to the land owner 🤪

Hi there from the cold, windy and wet Netherlands. Yet they say that it is dry (water will be more expensive in the next years) because it was so wet (???) and it never was so warm like this past June...🙄 It seems that it will be a bit better now starting today and I hope for you in the UK too. Aww thank you ☺️ in hindsight yes a chain saw would definitely be a good idea! The panels are 250w Panasonic so total of 500w, the aim was to add two more of the same but unfortunately they don’t make them anymore 🤪 for the size and power the victron panels are similar 😁

Woolhampton on my own. Right bum clencher, hardest bit was stopping to close the bridge after much wheel spinning of course. See you have discovered tank slappers, can’t beat a bit of bank effect to keep you on your toes. They used to have sit in model ships at Southampton maritime college. Officer candidates would sit in them and navigate, they handled the same as a large ship. No need for that, just stick them in a Widebeam on the K&A. Moored in Windsor at the moment, got a Sainsbury’s Red Cross parcel being delivered tomorrow. Decided to pull the pin here and not go on to the Wey. Heading back to Devizes tomorrow 22/7 and kinda, maybe aim to arrive 1st September. Saw you again near Henley.. still in bed at about 8am 😂 I tooted and hailed 😂
