Dealing with Transition🌈
Lately I have experienced a lot of transition, and it has taken some time to get grounded.
People experience transitions when they move, graduate, encounter grief, job loss, the end of a relationship, and even shifts in seasons..🌦
Transitions induce stress, fear, loneliness, panic attacks, issues with sleeping, and digestive 🤢
Remember there is a beginning, turning point, and end to a transition; coping skills play a crucial role!
Focus on the basics!
-Self care, grounding, eating healthy, sleep, hygiene routine.
-Attend therapy and connect with others
5 Strategies that helped me:
1. Strategic thinking and planning
-plan ahead, develop a roadmap, this provides a sense of control and direction.
2. Self-negotiation to minimize risks
-be aware of potential challenges and addressing them head on, this fosters resilience!
3. Apply sessions learned
-Reflect on previous times of transition and take lessons learned in order to help you in the present moment transition..
4. Seek information
-Address knowledge gaps so you can make informed and empowered decisions
5. Put change into perspective
-understand that change is normal and can alleviate distress in the long-term
