@@frankieb9444 Same here. I made MM2 (E5) in about 4, and that was considered incredibly quick.
My daughter is in the Navy with rank of E-5 been in for three years, she entered the Navy with a Bachelors degree, so the Navy brought her in as a E-3, she obtained two promotions within 3 years, its possible.

Touching story but strange interaction there on a purely military customs and courtesies level. She should have saluted him being that she’s enlisted and he is an officer in the fire department.
@herbertschroeder37394 жыл бұрын
Its more like father and daughter acknowledging their respective callings.
@ptp50024 жыл бұрын
Michael Captain isn’t a commissioned officer rank in the fire department? That would be an odd rank structure.
@ptp50024 жыл бұрын
Michael ok so they don’t receive a commission. So the salute was just showing of mutual respect. Has nothing to do with military customs and courtesies. She’s taught to always return a salute so she did. He saluted her because he respects her. Nice gesture. Thanks for explaining. Learn something new every day.
