So there’s EOD in the other branches. What makes each branches’ EOD different? Is the Navy the only one that does underwater stuff? Is the Air Force more concentrated on Aircraft? etc. etc.
@Jay155235 жыл бұрын
Yeah Navy EOD is definitely the only one that does underwater explosive work, they jump freefall (Halo) and static line, they also Helo-Cast, most well rounded EOD of them all.
@IvanOfficial015 жыл бұрын
Harlem Jay That’s kind of what I’m thinking after doing some research of the other branches EOD for the past couple weeks. I’m kind of wondering which branch is more proficient on the technical side, because I get the feeling the Navy are more “operators” than technicians.
@Jay155235 жыл бұрын
Ivan If you want the technical side without the jumping,diving and extra tactical training. Your best bet would be Air Force EOD. But remember, they train at the Navy EOD school and learn from them so it goes to show how good the Navy is when it comes to the field. Air Force EOD is very focused on the ordnance disposal aspect, they are not special operations. Check them out.

Do you enlist as this or is this something you get into once you’re already in the Navy? And is it a pipeline where if you fail you end up wherever the Navy needs you?
@americasnavy2 жыл бұрын
Hi there, thank you for reaching out! You'll be able to enlist as an EOD. No college degree is required to apply for a position as an EOD Technician. However, a high degree of difficulty should be expected. Training is tough and ongoing. You can apply for the Navy Warrior Challenge contract for EOD Technicians at any time during your first enlistment. You can learn more here: bit.ly/3bFkVDY

From what I know you contract with the navy to be and eod tech if you fail you’ll become a navy diver because that training is required as an eod if you don’t make it through dive school good luck buddy because now you’re the navy’s and they’ve got a new job for you that you get 0 say in

@@natethagod2426 Bro, this is a Navy video about Navy EOD. Not talking Army. In the Army, EOD may be an "SOF enabler". In fact, EOD is also not special forces in the Corps or the Air Force. Navy EOD however IS special forces, not an SOF enabler. Unlike the other services, underwater diving and jump school are requirements for EOD in the Navy plus other special ops qualifications, elevating the position to special forces.
