i heard it was two boats, so they both got engine failure same time? and what does that have to do with getting directions. if their engine was forcing them to one side than call the Iranians and tell them you are in their territory before they catch you. I mean if both ships have engine failure and they still steered them to be close to each other for 2 km that is fishy. If their GPS was damaged then use the sailors maps and continue straight. I am assuming they are not moving zigzag on sea, why would they? they are not using a sail.

First, this was a trap. U.S. warships do not break down and even if one did become inoperative, the other could have towed it. Secondly they have radar and should have had time to call in air support. Thirdly, US sailors are required to give name, rank and serial number, nothing else. The U.S. should not tolerate interference with its warships and by no means allowed two ships to be boarded and interred by a Third World jihadists. Next mission in the area should be accompanied by Cobra gunships and any Iranian vessel comes within one mile gets turned into scrap metal.
