Yeah I hate to break this to you but, that is a surplus UH-60A Blackhawk, not a Seahawk. You can tell it's an 'A' model by the shape of the stabilator and the lack of a HIRSS on the exhasts as well as the position of the tailwheel. N160EQ 78-23004 Sikorsky UH-60A Black Hawk C/N 70-067.

No sound like it. I live near the border in Tx and I hear the nsa ,border patrol, helicopters almost every day. When I hear the slapping of the air, I go out, and behold! The mother of all helicopters UH-1 Huey.. I know is “Iroquois” but they HUEY sounds much better. It’s like the mother ship is checking if everyone is doing their job right.

He sure hit that blazing tree dead on center, but it still didn't completely extinguish the flames. I really feel for all the people who have lost their homes in these western state fires. I live in eastern Tennessee and a few years ago we faced the same thing with a wildfire out of control. We had just installed a metal roof on our house and it saved our house from the glowing embers. That and the grace of God.

Nope. Lived at one of the houses and my grandfather and I mowed that field monthly. The dude that owns that land doesn't give 2 shits about it and eventually got mad we were mowing it down monthly so we stopped. It got SO bad, but we didn't budge and then my grandfather passed, we sold the house and every so often we drive by and see how bad it is. Not to mention the homeless camps in that field :/

Most aircraft used for firefighting are retired aircraft from various industries because it’s cheaper. That’s already done. Also, there are only so many pilots and they don’t get paid as well as airline pilots do. So that’s a reason why there aren’t more. In addition to all of this, aircraft by themselves don’t put out fire and keep it out. There is more to Wildland firefighting than just dumping water on some of the flames.

They just released a report that said Canada dumped more into the ozone in one year than the last 40 combined. And its going to keep happening until we have a dedicated fire system in Canada. Yes, I agree that communitys can do what they can to rduce fuel, but as the event just proved me right, Canada is 9,000,000 km sq. Its impossible to keep it all groom. We need a system that does it all. Even replants.

FOR ANYONE WANTING INFORMATION: I used to live on Willowgrove Ave with my grandfather. I know all those neighbors lmao. Basically... From the start of the homes to the bank of the river is owned by a private party. He does not landscape, does not care about the property, doesn't kick the homeless camps out, nothing. He had tried to sell back in the day, spruced up the back field by mowing and whatnot but couldnt sell because he demanded EVERY neighbor purchase the property behind their house, not just 1 plot. In the entirety of my grandfather living there (45+ yrs), this owner has never maintained that land. After it began to become a hazard, my grandfather and I started to mow every month.. sometime around 2006-2007? For a while, the owner said nothing and finally threw a fit over it and demolished our fig tree that randomly grew right outside our fence. So, we stopped mowing. Homeless camps set back up, constant littering, overgrown weeds and bushes, it was awful. But we didn't budge. Then in 2014, my grandfather passed away and we sold the home, but stayed relatively close. The plot was never maintained. You'd drive by and it was overgrown and dry and dead. It was a serious fire hazard and with homeless camps starting fires and shit back there, it doesn't help. :/

Were any animals harmed in the fire? I think it’s disgraceful when people light fires. When I accidentally lit a bin on fire, my cigarette butt wasn’t out properly I freaked out. Lucky I had water on me but I let security know so they could check on it make sure it didn’t relit in the bin. I was worried someone would throw something in the bin and it would light up again.
