Long story short, 40% rule is another term for mind over matter. Those of us who are into endurance training know the power of this philosophy.

I have to disagree somewhat. In an ultra marathon for example, when you start cramping, getting blisters, getting fractures, getting muscle strains, then it really is not about mind over matter. Your pace will be down to a crawl. Sure, you can keep crawling. But that is just stupid. Knowing when to stop and resolve issues or quit is the right thing to do. And when it comes to race sabotage, it is not safe to keep going on. Less haters put you into the ER where you die.

Tuesdays Runner the seal from that book did the marathon and broke all his feet and was sustaining kidney damage

+Dylan Thanks, I am familiar with the story. Though they did not explain how he knew he was sustaining kidney damage. Or did he just not pee in the last hour?

Makes sense but it also sounds like the perfect way to induce a heat stroke in hot weather.

Great video about the 40% rule. How about a video on the TRX suspension trainer. I know it was a Navy Seal who came up with the idea, and I know that all branches of military and law enforcement use it. I want to get your opinion on whether it's worth the investment and do you use one in your training

Does that rule apply to making love?

No. Pretty sure when it says it's done, it's done.

It is sad that our food is so polluted that it screws up many people's bodies to where they can't have great love making. Really sad. Then big pharma pushes their pills to make millions...instead of solving the real problems in people's diets and lack of nutrition in foods and side effects from all kinds of other drugs pushed by big pharma. +WJ To answer your question, yes. If the issue is just physical fatigue, then you may be able to push through it. But better if you rest up. For her, she can keep going. That kind of sucks for men.
