@@Jrh770 evil is everywhere, but over there it's twisted type, using religion as an excuse to fight, or it's always a revenge for something, an ideal from what someone else has brainwashed them into thinking, it's a deep subject, and if you watch how the Taliban poured in Iraq after we left, especially the airport, it's insane that no matter if we won the war, all they do is sit and wait, and spread their lies to new generation, and others. Bam, you have a forever conflict perpetually fighting in cycles, this is called tribalism at it's core, and lots of anti religion ppl use it as an excuse to not believe in God or whatever because of just that. We will never just get along, because our weapons are too big, they will eventually get their hands on nukes, and then it will be the end of the US as we know it, this is the sad fact of the matter, just like Iran but Iraq will be like Russia and take over other countries to make a Muslim alliance, then the shit will hit the fan, lucky now there's still peaceful Muslims, but that's on the way out over there.

It’s not that black and white. There are people doing egregious things, and yes, special interest groups of the US like the CIA engage in that for their own benefit and in many cases, haphazardly. That doesn’t disqualify the fact that these guys, absolute professional Warriors, are incredibly valorous and uniquely resilient. The quality of human these men are, is beyond what you can even comprehend. You probably keel over like a bitch and curse when you stub your toe just like me…imagine worse pain encumbering your entire leg and now you have rounds going down range and coming in. There’s people next to you who you trust and love. They don’t want you to get killed as much as you don’t want them to. There’s more to all of this in practice, than your surface level understanding of US foreign policy. There’s much more at play than just the general ethics of foreign intervention. War on Terror was waged on bad intel at best, at worst the US inserted itself for dishonest reasons. Both are likely- but it doesn’t disqualify that the people who went and fought in these circumstance ms are more courageous than you can even conceive.

While an aerial gunner on an AC-130H in Afghanistan we had a similar thing happen with an ODA. We were using sparkle to lead a three man point team to an HVI in a poppy field. One of the SF bubbas steps on the guy and gun shots where exchanged and all hell breaks loose. We weren’t able to spot a group of AQiA in a tree line until I saw an RPG being fired at the OP. The JTAC was fragged and us and two AH-64s were cleared E-CAS on the tree line. The dude on the radio said “you know where the Eagles are, you see them shoot ‘em now”. Not a standard 5-line, but it got the job done.

I met Jason at a shooting event for Seal Future Foundation. He was out there teaching. Not discussing his incredible story, not lamenting about times before. He was there to help us laymen become better survivalists, he had an entire table laid out with his entire gear set up. Upon seeing that I asked him detailed questions about his gear... The passion and knowledge he holds for survival preparedness is evident within seconds of speaking with him. Without knowing anything about him other than the basics it was obvious that I was speaking to someone who learned these skills from not only his training but from real experience utilizing them. It was not until after the event that I looked him up and found everything I could relating to his story. I could not believe I was able to speak with someone who came so close to death so many times and persevered against all odds. Thank you for sharing the story that I wish I knew before having the chance to meet this hero.

Shawn Ryan is the “Joe Rogan” of the military community. While I do not always agree with his opinion, I agree 100% with his pursuit of difficult topics, personal progress, and truth. He has the ability to connect with his guests and give them an open forum to dive into deep, dark places that many are afraid to venture or tread. All the while, he supports and eloquently probes slightly deeper to further reveal deeper revelations about the humanity of these individuals who have sacrificed so much. As a non-military individual, but a long family heritage of military service, this channel strikes a chord with me of the respect, sacrifice, discipline, and honor of true humanity of individuals who gave so much. The theme of mental health, personal peace, and well-being is evident. Please do not be discouraged on your journey to help and uplift others. Your connections, influence, and sharing with others has already proven priceless. As many of your guests have noted (esp Tu Ronin Lam) do not focus on the critics, but instead on those of us who have been positively impacted. Salute Sincerely Daniel R. Blackburn

I respect and admire the hell out of all of the guys like Jason and DJ(Shawn too), and I know the focus is on how badass and how tough Jason is in this story but the actions of Matt deserve just as much recognition and praise as anyone else. I mean the selflessness and bravery you have for your brothers to run out of cover during an intense, close range gunfight when you know theres a guy blasting PKM fire nonstop while already having been shot once, to save your buddy with a shattered tib/fib(who I imagine would have probably died if it wasnt for Matt..you aint going nowhere with a shattered tib/fib, not to mention the pain) AND THEN get shot again, but continue to drag your brother to safety, and then get shot AGAIN, and AGAIN before youre able to successfully drag your brother to safety is incredible. When you hear a guy like DJ say its the most heroic, brave thing hes ever seen in combat, you know that they simply dont make men better than guys like Matt.

I know this guy who did like 2 years and claims to have killed a bunch of people. But someone that arrogant about killing obviously has issues or is a liar. The people in this video are real heroes. Not all military men are good but I will respect all that are.

@@miketurner1908 he says it at parties and social gatherings all the time I think to make himself look cool. It’s a pride thing for him and I’ve seen him shoot at targets outside and didn’t hit one, and they weren’t moving. Yet he also claims to be a sharpshooter sniper. Meanwhile he’s only been an infantryman for 2 years and then left.

Stuff like this makes me feel bad, because even if I am not even close to trained as you all, I feel like whenever any of our brothers life is on the line I should be right there to. But I will be more of a liability than an asset, doesnt mean i wouldnt try, just saying thank you for all our vets and active military is doing and God bless you all. You will forever be in my heart and prayers.
