Jon Bernthal should teach classes to journalists, politicians, doctors, and executives about the essential, life saving skill of Listening. The ability to sit in one place and listen attentively to another human being is a beautiful thing.

Jason is one of the baddest MF’s on the planet! Thank you Jason for your service, I’m an Iraq/Afghanistan combat veteran and my family thanks you and my fellow veterans for the sacrifices that most will never know, much less comprehend! I know that after my 4th deployment I came back a total different man than my 1st or 2nd and that’s still something that I’m working on til this day. It’s what we sign up for and we are 100% fully committed on giving our life up if need be for our country and our beliefs but getting back into society once we get back stateside is a challenge on its own

I had the pleasure of meeting Jason Redman a couple of times at a fundraiser for veterans and police officers, he’s a super nice guy with a great sense of humor. I bought his book for my Dad, who served in the Navy, as well. It’s cool to see Redman all over these podcasts lately, I’m glad to see it!

His story is the story of ALL great men... EGO.... Ego in the home, ego at work, ego among friends, ego with possessions, ego with women, ego with success, etc etc. This podcast exemplifies over and over again the downfalls of the male ego. Humility and grace 🙏 daily 💯

he said something like: there were various "ego incidents" that led up to this moment. It happened over time. Apparently, the SEALs are very good at "self governance": they do a "hot-wash" after every OP, no punches pulled, regardless of rank. His team gave him the boot. However, luckily, he was able to recover his credibility.
