Here is a little more info for the people that wanna do this. The Warrior Challenge Program is for SEAL, SWCC, EOD, DIVER, and AIRR. To get a Spec War contract you need to pass a Physical Screening Test before shipping out. 500 yd swim in 12:00 50 push-ups 50 sit-ups 6-10 pull-ups 1.5 mile run in 12:00 Once you pass, your Spec War recruiter will send your scores in and you will be competing with all the other people also trying to get a contract. They will only pick the best, so you must exceed the minimum to get a contract.

Good luck, even just hitting those scores isn’t anything to write home about, you’re competing against D1 level athletes, Olympian’s and other alphas for just a chance.

its a Hospital Corpsman. Not a SO ( Special Operations) its a Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman, they do Marine PFT and wear MARINE uniforms most of the time when with the Marines. reply to this if u want more info on SARC, got guys who got in and are in many other SOC too. They go through normal Navy, get through their Hospital Corpsman school and other required training. Their qualifications are like SEAL and SWCC which gives them opportunities like working with DEVGRU in Dam Neck. Most of the time they are put with Marine SO like MARSOC and other support with Force Recon teams to assist with being a medic and Recce teams. But they are not WC

They have the exact same PST standards as SEALs yet aren't included in the same 800 divisions as the rest of the WCP candidates. I've read people suggest that anyone who's job requires a PST be put in the 800 divisions and I don't see why that isn't currently a thing

A Sarc is technically not part of Naval special warfare. It is an entity of the Marine special operations command (MARSOC) so they would be in a “MARINE-Special Operations Forces command video” not the navy special warfare video.

Steven C understood. However, SARCs are Navy personnel, who have Navy Rates, Navy Ranks, and have to deal with advancement and proficiency through the Navy the Navy way. In other words, no USMC promotion systems for them. The ultimate word at the end of the day on their careers is the Navy. They just work with the USMC more than, say, a SEAL “Doc” works with the Navy. I don’t even know if SARCs PT with the 800 divisions for Navy Boot, although I’d assume they do. It would only make sense to. From there, how exactly does a prospective SARC indicate to his COC that he wants to start the SARC pipeline? Notifying the “SARC Chief” at San Antonio or at Lejeune/ Pendleton Field Med? What if there isn’t one? SARCs are one of the smallest communities in the Navy. Is there an official PT plan a future Sailor or Corpsman can download off the internet and print out to prepare for BRC (on his spare time while he is in San Antonio/ Field Med?) Do Navy Recruiter’s require special requirements from their future Sailors like they do of future SEALS/ SWCC, etc.? Do prospective SARCs have to attend the NSW Prep School at Great Lakes first before pushing out to advanced follow on schools? Even the Sailors that pass Field Med with flying colors are still gonna struggle at BRC. Where is the representation within their own service? Or, are they going to keep getting ignored and treated like the “red-headed stepchild” because they chose to ditch the Navy for the Marines? All I’m saying is I think because of what and how much SARCs contribute, they should be just as much a formal and acknowledged part of the Navy Challenge Program as the other 5 programs are. This would also aid with recruiting and retention of SARCs in the future.
