Agreed. Women, especially those stepping into an arranged marriage, need to step Out of the mindset that their husbands will pay for everything. In Most if not All arranged marriages, men are expected to pay for everything. It's not "necessary" for the women to work. They just have to get married by a certain Age. Must change.

They seem so real and normal. Shweta is such a good speaker and yet you could feel it she wasn’t comfortable having the mic. Shweta was married off at a very early age and she must’ve experienced the downside of not being financially independent and doesn’t want it for her kids just the way I don’t want it for my daughter as well.😊

I like Sweta's attitude about her children. She is a parent and not their friend. With that attitude she makes a great mom. I like her attitude to let the children grow their wings and fly high. Their experiences will be their best teachers. Life experiences is only achieved by themselves. Such a pleasant advice for mothers with young children. Her message to young ones especially girls to be self supportive. Amazing podcast for mom and daughter 👍💕

A lot of what Shweta said reveals how naive she is..her views are so outdated and come from a privileged background. Her mother would probably be able to give more pointers of financial independence to her. Women have been independent and working for over 50 to 60 years..fyi. Also podcasts are not a way to the future ..they were the forerunners of the internet social media. Seriously..just your name does not give you knowledge ..wish them all the luck.

Honestly good for her cuz she doesn’t want her child to grow up like these snooty people. Navya was a huge bully in her college days and here she is acting so intelligent and nice. Shweta as we all know is one hell of a snob. Nothing to like in these two.

At 7:57 the anchor lost it. How could he not have listened to the podcast and still set up an interview around the podcast. As far as financial independence for girls and women, didn't Jaya ji set the benchmark, way back in 1971! It's a choice for women - they can be financially independent or maybe some do not want it. The Indian family institution is robust enough to respect women even if they are not financially independent. There are million other ways that both genders can contribute, it's not always financial independence.
