This EP is insane, like so many levels above anything in the same tearout style... Arguably EP of thr year.

This ep is mind numbing, and I don't even listen to nearly as much dubstep as I did in recent years. I'm going to be listening to this one on repeat.

💥 HUGE EP! What are you guys making of ‘The Tempest Pt. 1’? Which track of the 4 is your favourite? Drop your thoughts below! 👇

The fact that you spoke about this album when you can't even dare to say the "D-word" as you say it, just speaks volumes about your hypocrisy, how you don't actually care about what the producer has allegedly done, the only thing you care about is how the public views it, if nobody gave too much attention to Oddprophet's allegations you can still do videos about him, not with Troy tho, even if you actually had a valid opinion on the subject a few years ago... Do you guys need more evidence that SJW's only care about clout??

@77ELCREADOR he addressed it on his twitter iirc, gave screenshots & everything, you might have to scroll down a lil to see it though IMO the apology came too late to salvage his already dwindling reputation, but it was enough to dissolve anything regarding the sexual allegations, at least in my eyes believe what you will though
@77ELCREADOR10 ай бұрын
@@theboog8006 Who are we talking about? Troy (D-word) or Oddprophet?? I'm not saying he shouldn't be talking about Oddprophet, it's just that I'm tired of cancel culture ruining artists careers just because people want clout/attention

@@Nawtystep for me at least, the fakeout is SOOO fucking sick 😭 Recognize is very heavy but it kinda feels like generic tearout to me. Unifinished business is nice but I still like British gas a lot more.

Honestly one of the best dubstep EPs ive heard in a while and gives me a lot of hope for the genre

High praise! What’s your favourite thing about it?
@Voltone10 ай бұрын
@@Nawtystep it’s definitely the combination of many things. I’ve always loved oddprophet sound design as he hits that sweet spot between overblown distorted sounds but without sounding incredibly harsh on the ears and balanced right mix wise. The drop flows are also fairly unique in comparison to a lot of the stuff released today which tends to be 1/4 note or 1/8th note rhythms with some syncopation maybe. Where he is using a more simpler flow it’s done purposefully. Finally the tempo changes, whilst it makes the tracks a nightmare to DJ outside of playing 1 drop it lends itself to the listener to keep things interesting.
@CMike120410 ай бұрын
Aztec Death Whistle is my favorite, song just takes a ton of turns. Literally had me saying "oh god" out loud lmao.
@Nawtystep10 ай бұрын
They all take a tonne of turns no? Maybe aside from track 3 only by virtue of it being significantly shorter
@CMike120410 ай бұрын
@@Nawtystep I think Aztec takes the most of out the 4. There's like 4 drops (song is almost 5 mins to be fair), 2 of which have their own little sub drops/switch ups (so maybe 6). The ending bit is super impactful, with the long buildup before the 3rd drop (if that's even the right count lmao) makes you feel like it's the climax of the song and then it fades out, making you think you're safe and it's over before the ultra chonk stomper from the middle of the song comes back. I think it does a good job of not letting the stomping stick around for too long, like 4-5 bars at most, before he's changed it up somehow or added an element. It just seemed to keep me on my toes a little bit more than the others which already had me on the edge of my seat LMAO.

This EP means serious business in my opinion this is his best work since his precognition EP. “Unfinished business” & recognize we’re my personal favorites because of how stompy and momentous they both are. I’m surprised he is self releasing I’d consider him worthy of being on malignant 100% and I wonder if he’s ever considered it?
