Hamed was rated number 1 p4p in the world by many at the time. He's right, talent wise Naseem was up there with the best and definitely the more talented of the two. His problem was his lack of sticking to the fundamentals and when he split with Ingle he wasn't the same any more. It's debatable which one had the better career although Eubank was never rated as highly as Hamed in the US and UK so I'd probably go with Nas as he did beat some pretty solid fighters and only ever lost to an excellent fighter in Barrera.

Good perspective made on the too fighters. Here is what I take of it. Eubank was never the same fighter post the Watson fight that is clear for all to see. However the Eubank Benn fights showed each fighter were great middle weights for there time. Naseem was a good fighter and a polite person in his early years (watch the parkinson interview) Money fame and a change of life do not go hand in hand it can easily be the downfull as we so often witness with many a personality.

Hamed beat everyone in front of him like Joe Calzaghe. The difference was Naz actually ventured to the US and it wasn't his fault that there was nobody rushing to move up to featherweight (from the legendary mexican trio) to fight Naz + Naz's physique + size was never going to let him move up to Lightweight or Light-Welter + still be effective (whilst Joe's can...cuz he's a big guy).
